Hi guys,

I suspect my libido has lowered since starting Potaba. My rudimentary understanding of the ingredients suggests it shouldn't lower testosterone or anything else related to libido, but nonetheless.....

I wondering if someone with more knowledge than me can shed some light?

The only light I can shed is that we have very very few Potaba success stories on the forum.
A forum search for Potaba will show you that.
I don't understand why doctors still providing this treatment today  :(

Thanks James. I appreciate Potaba isn't too popular. Unfortunately, it was the only prescription I could get. It supposedly oxygenates fibrotic tissue. As my corporal fibrosis was caused by a lack of oxygen, I'm hoping it will have some benefit.

I'm willing to try almost anything. I've been taking it for about 2 mths. I'll report back to the group after a year.

I forget that your topic is basically regarding lost of libido.
I don't know your age, but even in my age for me libido is very important.
I don't know if Potaba is lowering libido, but you should be in the top of the testosterone level to fight this disease.
I suppose with high level of testosterone the libido will be high also.
Do you make some other treatments also?

I'm with James on Testosterone. Based on what Dr. Joel Wallach said to me when I called into his radio show, he recommended a product called Xeratest from Youngevity that naturally increases testosterone.  Another thing that I hear Dr. Wallach say time and time again about male and female hormones is they are composed significantly of cholesterol, so statin drugs not only rob your brain of necessary cholesterol because your brain weight is 90% cholesterol, they hammer your sexual hormone production too.

Cholesterol is much misunderstood.  "High" cholesterol is indicative of a "too acid" blood PH.  Eating foods which increase blood PH (PH is 1-14, which lower numbers being more acid...7 is neutral) will reduce your blood cholesterol numbers.  Eating cholesterol has little effect on the numbers.  Drugs which reduce cholesterol are far more harmful than helpful.

I use Depo-T, an injectable testosterone.  I have only one functional testicle, which has my T level at half of the low end of "normal" for my age.  I tried the supplements and even Adrogel with little success, but I feel much more like a man with the Depo-T...and it is quite affordable.  A month's plus supply is about $30.  I get syringes with needles for about $0.39 each at a local farm store (yes, they are every bit as sterile as the ones at the Pharmacy), and I use once and toss.

I did use a supplement to improve sperm health after my reversal, and I can't recall the name of it right now.  With only one functional testicle, my count was just shy of the benchmark 700 million, but motility was 83% (50% is considered "fertile").  It did nothing for my T levels though.

Along with working on your T level, you should work on minimizing exposure to estradials...estrogen like substances.  These are common in "soft" plastics like water bottles and tupperware.  Don't EVER microwave food in a plastic container.  Also the "lined" cans are likely a source.  Also, NEVER drink bottled water that has been hot...like left in the car for a while.

Thanks guys. If truth be told, I think my testosterone levels are probably within normal parameters. I'm 35 and lead a relatively healthy life and I'm not taking any other medication, just cialis and the usual supplements popular in the forum. I'm also reassuringly hairy :). I'm just not quite as interested in sex as I was 6 months or so ago. I tried ZMA for a couple of months but it made little difference to my libido.

The one thing which does make a difference is alcohol. Not at the time, but the morning after, if I've had a skinful. Then it's party time. ;D I think I'm like most men in that regard.

By the way, QuackAttack, I listened to your radio broadcast post. I admire your courage discussing your peyronie's publicly like that.

Thanks again guys,

best

Quotemy testosterone levels are probably within normal parameters.
Very easy to be there.
Testosterone Levels by Age
You may find other webpages on the subject.
At 35 you should be between 256 and 1016 that is a huge range. You want to be close to the top!!!
For my age, 68, I should be between 167 and 663. I have 697 and I am very pleased with that.
An I agree that QuackAttack is a very brave man ;D

Peety,

Brave or not, I have been listening to Dr. Wallach for years and what I have seen from his products and advice are too sound to pass up the chance to discuss.

I am not saying nothing about trying the products Dr. Wallach is promoting.
You have no idea what I have tried to fight this disease, almost everything, including some dangerous things.
What I agree is that you are brave to talk open like that on a radio show about our problem :)
