Hi I have just started a course of 6 monthly injections( 2 so far) of Depomedrol in Belgium. I'm not  a fan of injections and was warned that no results should be expected until at least the 3rd injection. Anyone else tried this therapy. mine is at the largest Hosiptal in Mons Urology department thanks

Moved you post here, better fit this board.
I never heard about Depomedrol injections. Made a google search, I found a lot of information, but non regarding Peyronies.
What I found is:
QuoteDepo-Medrol (methylprednisolone acetate) is an anti-inflammatory glucocorticoid used to treat pain and swelling that occurs with arthritis and other joint disorders.
Also a strong alert that it may increase the blood sugar levels.
Can you give us some more details regarding your Peyronies symptoms?
Can you tell us where the doctor injected the steroid?
It was painful? Side effects like swellings, bruising's, etc'?

Hi James,
I have a curvature upwards (c 30 degrees) just like a balloon with tape on one side. the urologist and i found a placque within the penis and it is into this placque that the injections are made. He uses a very fine gauge needle to inject directly into the placque, not too painful, although i am a huge needle phobe, no visible brusing but the area does stay a little sore for about 4-7 days.

When you started the injections? I mean when you had the first one?
And please don't forget to update us.
I may ask also my urologist about the injections, I made prostate and bladder surgery in Belgium last November.

I also did not hear a lot about depomedrol.
Recently a Dubai doctor mentioned that he uses 5 injections of this 1 months apart.
Not any other mention about depomedrol on the forum, hence, hard to say if it is effective or not.

Given the chance I would go for Xiaflex.
