Hello and thank you for this great forum, after lurking for quite some time I am finally taking the step to buy a VED cylinder and start pumping that soft tissue plaque away..

But I have a question! I have read around but I havent found an answer to this so I will ask.

Judging from the FAQ on this link JT's Stockroom: Penis Pumps I will have to be buying the 2 1/4 x 9 inch with my base size of 6.60 and aprox 7.40 length.

I am wondering if I should get the 9 inch tube or the 12 inch tube? The 12 inch tube leaves we with QUITE some room, and I wonder what is best - to have too much room lenghtwise or a "to small of a pump" (9 inch might be a bit small for me? there is still room, though the stockroom faq says that optimal lenght of tube is about 2-3 inches longer than fully erect size). Does anyone know of any downsides of having too much room in the lenght direction?

Have anyone else used these pumps? I see them being reccomended here at a FAQ page, does anyone know anything about the safety valves on these ones - especially interested in if the valve releases the pressure easily.

Thanks so much from a bewildered youngster. It is much to learn here, and I am glad for your help.

Scotch:

Just read your post about needing help for you to determine getting the correct size VED cylinder. I took a look at the site you posted with all the sizes and ''plumbing'' that is necessary to make up a good VED package. My suggestion is that you would not need a 12 inch cylinder unless your penis is way above average size. You would have to be way above average length to need a 12 inch cylinder in my book.

You need the cylinder to be somewhat close/tight to your penis to lend some support in helping straighten any curve/bend you might have.

Now, I would suggest that only you know the actual symptoms you are hoping to correct, so the decision on the size would be based on those factors IMHO.

Edit:  I would suggest that you take a look at the Augusta Medical Systems VED models to help with your decision. Their website is:  www.augustams.com
Open the link on their home page in the upper header about Soma Therapy/ED to view their VED models.

Thanks for such a quick answer!

So my 7.40 inch penis will fit into a 9 inch tube? The page specified that optimal lenght would be 2-3 inces beyond penis lenght, but I guess 1.60 inch is good enough.

Symptoms are.. I guess calcified soft tissue plaque, slow filling of penis tip beyond point of bend and curvature. Loss of sensation on glans. I am hoping to see improvements in these symptoms when fresh blood is pulled into the area over time by VED therapy.

It is diffucult to choose between the different VEDs, that is for sure. I feel that all the models are really similar, a tube and a pump, thats it, but with different construction designs. I am not sure about the augusta models, would I not need 2 seperate sized pumps at 400$ total (199+199) to correctly use the 3 cylindre protocol, as opposed to 140$ to buy 2 diffrent sized tubes from the site I specified?

The decision would be yours alone, but be careful in your decision as to how each VED would have to be used. The Augusta models once assembled together become a stable one hand operation to use. So, weigh out the different procedures in how each will be handled while they are in use, etc.

The three cylinder Augusta model would not require buying any other cylinders as it has three different ones that nest together to provide one for most any size penis. You really don't need three inches more room in the cylinder when fully pumped up. You just need enough room so as to not have the glans touch the pump head.

Anyway, take a good long look at each VED and then decide what would be involved in how each would be used in your individual case of Peyronies Disease or ED.
