After Surgery

It's been 5 years now since I had surgery. Mine was a serious case; penis bent 90 degrees to the left when erect. There was more plaque than the surgeon expected. This required cutting the plugged section out and rejoining. This caused a reduction in the penis length, not a real concern, probably reduced to 5" from 6". In this surgery the glans was cut in process of shortening. Most of the feeling in the head of the penis was lost. It was thought the nerves would repair after a short length of time. This happened to some extent but far from total. It is difficult to feel if I am in the vagina or not. I cannot come to a climax through intercourse although erection is not a problem, don't need Viagra. Through experimentation I have found that if I masturbate extremely fast and concentrate on sexual fantasies I can have an orgasm. This often takes over 45 minutes with rest periods between attempts.

Needles to say, this has basically brought my sex life to a stand still.

Just my factual story.  :'(

I don't understand why the surgery should make the penis shorter by 1" if the excision is made with grafting. Losing girth if no grafting I understand.
Maybe someone can give an answer.
Regarding sensitivity, as I understand excision makes much more problems than incision.
I am correct? If yes, why surgeons make excision and not excision?

I don't recall what the surgeon told me, but for the amount of plugging on the left side the area had to be cut out, and to complete the straightening, the penis was shortened, this must have involved the cutting around the glans. Not a problem to my wife or self. I can give her satisfaction, unfortunately none for me. It's the loss of sensitivity that prevents an orgasm for me.
