Hello,

My device counter clicks 5 times, not 4. Do they mean when they say 4 clicks that the 1st one you click down is the starting position and from there you go 4 clicks?

I've often wonder this too.

I rotate to the 5th position so 150° conterbending position.

I'll also go up to 4-5 clicks on the rods for maximum tension.

Thanks for this! So clearly my device isn't unusual. 5 clicks is the norm. They should make that clearer in the instructions that it's five clicks from the upright position, not four.

I've used the device for years and always thought I was in position 4.

Interesting what you say about for maximum tension you move the device itself along the extension rod five clicks.

That's how I have been using it and thinking I was at four clicks counterbending when I was really at three, but I reviewed all the instructions including a video with the inventor Dr. Trost and clearly we don't need to move the device along the extension rods. Nowhere in the videos or instructions do they say to do that—they say only to move it one or two clicks IF the white lines are showing only.

Review the video and the instructions and you'll see it's not necessary.

Well, if you and I both were using the device that way, then it's a subject I think they need to address in an updated instruction manual or video.

Well, now I am motivated to use it precisely the way the instructions say and I'm looking forward to even more improvement.

Good luck to you as well.

The more clicks on the rods and the more the white line rods are hidden the more tension that is applied.

To get best results you must apply as much tension as possible.

Here is an example of straight stretching.

I have gone up as many clicks as I can which is 9 in this picture.

Then I release the tension springs.

In this picture you can barely see the black rods where the white lines show.

When the rods begin to show about 1-2cm I go up another click on the extension rods.

This way I am always under maximum tension.

That is quite the stretch! Damn!

BentKnob

Yes it is. I believe this is the key for best results.

You must always stretch the tissue as much as possible.

Those not getting results must apply more tension.

Yes what a stretch! Like tug of war.

Yes, the more clicks the better for stretching, but I'd like confirmation from RestoreX and Dr. Trost about the clicks advancing the device along the rods for counterbending.

If I'm already maxxed at counterbending clicks and there's no white lines and you can't even see the black bars either, is it more effective to advance the device more clicks as in stretching?

Nowhere in the manual or videos does it say to do that. It's what I did though too. But I'm wondering if I've been doing it wrong.

Yes, I would also like to hear this confirmed by Dr Trost.

It feels like a much better stretch when I go up the rods as much as possible and keep the tension spring rods hidden rather than having more of them exposed.

Same as counterbending.
