Is intercourse still possible?

Hi,

I have been a single parent and widower for the last 18 years. I have not been sexually active in a long time. My grown daughter has left home for college, and I am starting to date again. Two years ago, I injured my penis playing sports and was diagnosed with Peyronies Disease last year. The urologist told me to do nothing but wait. Things progressed badly, and the right-turning curve is at least 45 degrees. I plan to take a good baseline measurement. I got a second opinion in February and he suggested plication as the best option but also mentioned traction and Xiaflex. I started traction on my own using RestoreX and have been doing that twice daily since then. I can't tell if there is any change. I will start measuring. I really don't want to do anything invasive if possible.

I am literally clueless about the challenges of having intercourse with Peyronies Disease. Can straightening happen during penetration with or without some kind of device? Would it be painful for my partner? Would it be painful or harmful for me?

Thanks...
50 years old. Peyronies Disease since 2018. Traction since 2/20.

You'd have to try intercourse to see how painful it would be for you-even w same degree of curve it can be different from one to another.  Traction is great to get started.  If you eventually do xiaflex you'll want to continue traction.  You may also want to consider low dose pde5i to remodel the plaque.  Be sure to read the survival guide here:  https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.msg44057.html#msg44057

The previous messenger is correct. You have to try sex to see if it works. That's going to be difficult if your just starting to date. You will have to explain the situation to your partner first or make an excuse to stop if it is painful. I am single. I tried dating and explaining my situation. The response has always been positive and understanding from my dating partners. Sometimes i never here from them again which is fine because I don't want to be with someone who wants me just for sex. Unfortunatelyy, I am unable to have sex because it is just too painful. (I have a 45 degree upward bend.). VED traction therapy is giving some positive results,  Although you do have to be paitient. There is never any instant results. It takes weeks before the results are good. I also take salidifil. It helps general penile health. You can get them cheap from a popular auction site. Search 100 blue pill. 1/3 a pill daily works for me but you should trial and error whatever works for you. All the best. N
Latest routine. Started l-lysine 3mg daily, l-proline 5mg daily. Increased vit c intake. Accompanied with almost daily vacuum therapy. Pumping to 100% Exercise caution! Made good progress. L arginine supplements and prescribed potaba are helping.
