It's concerning to hear about the side effects you experienced, particularly the extreme orthostatic hypotension and bleeding issues.

It's crucial for anyone considering or currently using pentoxifylline to be aware of its potential side effects and interactions, especially if they're taking supplements like vitamin E and curcumin that can further thin the blood. Your experience with verapamil injection underscores the importance of cautious medical management and monitoring when combining treatments.

Thanks for sharing your story and the reminder to stay informed and safe when managing health conditions. Wishing you all the best on your journey towards better health and well-being!  ::)

These symptoms could potentially indicate issues with circulation or nerve sensitivity, but only a thorough examination by a healthcare provider can provide a proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

In the meantime, continuing to avoid activities that exacerbate your symptoms, such as movements that strain your penis, and practicing self-care measures like rest and gentle exercises may help alleviate discomfort. Keep track of any changes or new symptoms you experience and communicate them to your healthcare provider during your appointment for a more comprehensive evaluation.

Take care, and I hope you find relief soon  ;)

It's understandable that you're concerned about the recurrence of symptoms despite your efforts with medication and VED.

VED therapy can indeed be beneficial in managing symptoms of Peyronie's disease by promoting blood flow and potentially reducing curvature over time. Nonetheless, it's essential to ensure you're following a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses all aspects of your condition.

Remember, open communication with your healthcare team is key to managing any medical condition effectively.  :)

Xiaflex Injections / Unsuccessful
Last post by SquareEfficient7618 - Yesterday at 11:17:49 AM
I recently completed my 3rd round if Xiaflex injections.  It was unsuccessful at improving my bend at all.

Pros
The plaque has been reduced a good amount and is softer and more pliable, according to my doctor.
The hourglass shaping is practically nonexistent now.
I do not think I have lost any length.  It's hard to tell when you are bent.  When I stretch flaccid, it still looks like the same length.  If I lost anything at all, it would be 1cm.  Like I said, its hard to tell when you can't measure yourself straight.

Cons
I still have a 90 degree straight up bend.  It's not a curve.  I am bent in half.  Absolutely no improvement.
I now have a slight S-curve going on, likely from the stretching and RestoreX usage.

I do have a consultation with Dr Trost in a few weeks to get a 2nd opinion.

Progression of Peyronies Disease / Re: Plaque Position
Last post by McQueen - Yesterday at 07:14:30 AM
Thanks for the replies.

That's what I thought, to be honest.

Went to the doctors, told him I was suffering symptons of Peyronies, and he said it was something "in the skin", and not attached to the penis, and it was nothing to worry about.

Hope he is right !

Welcome Jubilee to the forum and thank you for filling out your signature line. I also say hats off to you for the courage to beat an addiction!! You now have the knowledge and hope to give out to encourage others in need!.

You need to read the forum and hopefully other members can chime in on grafting surgery. I do know that it is more challenging to perform a graft. This is probably due to the location of the plaque and size and surrounding structures. Also the surgeon should be a high volume one who specializes in the procedure. My physician is Dr Levine in Chicago and he is qualified for this procedure if you are close to Illinois.

I would say that you could give traction and VED a try to see if you have any improvements. It is noninvasive and you may have some success with it. You should also educate yourself on grafting surgeries and make a list of questions for your new Dr to answer. Again welcome to the forum !   :)

If you continue with traction and are patiently dedicated you could see even more improvement.

Introduce Yourself / New here would like to post do...

I would like to post my summary i screenshot it and edited out personal info and downloaded it as pdf. How can I post it here? Its from 2016 tge only time ive been seen for this. So ive had this for 14 years but hqve been an addict the last 20 years, which is how I got it...I shot up in my member, i don't recommend doing that...but have been clean 2 years now taking care of all my issues. Im single, 44, have a 50 degree left and 30 degree up and no plaque whatsoever. Ive lost at least an inch of length and considerable girth and was a little under 6 inches to begin with and the doctor wants to do a plication but I want to do a graph if possible so I can retain some size. I don't remember why he said plication and not graph.  Are graphs only for cases with plaque? This place is the best in my area and specializes in this, I have an appointment at a new place for a second opinion but it's just a local small urology clinic. Im going to be ordering the restorex and have a new appt at the specialty place in September  I guess my main question is in what cases doesn't graphing work or why would they only choose to do plication? Have any new methods come out in the last 8 years? What can I say about my preference for graph besides what I stated here?

Quote from: bguser1 on May 19, 2024, 03:02:01 PMI saw on your posts that you've been using traction therapy, has it had any effect for you so far?

Hey man. I haven't been doing traction consistently for very long to report on it really. It is also hard to stay consistent for me personally, because in reality, a curve of 20 degrees when fully erect has little to no impact on me and I could live the rest of my life with it without any issue.

It was definitely terrifying at the beginning though, finding out what this disease is and how bad it can get. But since it hasn't gotten worse I've sort of come to terms with it in a way and it doesn't bother me anymore like it did. But I still go on these forums a lot.

Anyway, if you're having the same symptoms, this post might help you - it definitely helped me: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,16759.msg147066.html#msg147066

Specifically this from Dr Trost's response in the post:
'Sometimes, Peyronies Disease can give you a curve which is visible during a partial erection but that becomes straight(er) with a full erection.  This is usually due to a very small or minor scar.' So assuming this applies to us which it sounds like it does, we at least likely have a very small or minor scar.

I can objectively say though that my semi-erect curve has improved since I wrote this post. There was a point in time at the beginning when the semi-erect curve was really really bad, I did not have it in me to measure the curve at that point and I deleted all the pictures I had of the semi-erect curve back then because it was messing with me a lot and I tried to not think about it. When I saw the semi-erect curve back then it would completely kill my arousal and I would abstain from sex. Now even though there is still semi-erect curve it is much less, and my sex life is just as good as before. This was just the result of time in my opinion, it had improved by the time I started traction.

Feel free to message me also.
