Since Viagra is not as long lasting as Cialis, a dosage of around 12-17mg (accepted the cutting discrepancies) twice a day?

Dose times probably afternoon and before bed, slightly worried about the priapism risk, but before bed is apparently a good dosage time?

Or possibly as much as a 4 doses per day. Not sure I could afford that.

Have 8, 100mg tablets, at a good price.

Was worried I might of had a priapism in bed, though I hope you would wake up if you had one.

Thanks to those who helped about the Cialis, especially james1947. Cialis out my budget, still.

Thanks for your time.

Pressure:

As I understand the dosage of Viagra, you only need to take it just before any planned sexual activity. Really don't think you would want to take any doses just for the sake of taking them, especially if no sex is planned soon after taking the med.

It is sort of like a one at a time dose just before sexual activity. Others may have a different opinion of the Viagra doses. This above is just my understanding of it.

I used Viagra 12 to 17 mg for long time, before replacing it with Cialis. From November 6, 2011 to April 13, 2012.
I am still using it if I run out of Cialis. Taking it ones a day, after evening meal.
As Old Man said, not a good idea to take bigger daily Viagra than the mentioned above.
Using 50 or 100 mg Viagra for intercourse.

Thanks guys, with the Cialis lasting 36 hours, and the Viagra lasting 4 hours, I think it would be beneficial to have a morning and evening low dose of Viagra. (12-17mg). About 25-34mg daily, would this be too much?

For sex, I would take the bigger dose, but I am talking about using it as a daily Cialis replacement.

Thanks again.

I like Pycnogenol + L Arginine more - or some other natural health product that is primarily used to promote overall health (/potentially acts as an anti-inflammatory) and where an increase in circulation is more of a secondary effect - but that's just me. I had negative effects from frequent Cialis use and felt that my 'plaque' issues deteriorated further on it.

It was just that it would wear off within 4 hours, and 2 a day Viagra would be similar to 1 Cialis. I don't know if there are negative effects?

Funny9097, interesting story please explain in detail how Cialis deteriorated your Peyronie's.

I will bare in mind Pycnogenol if needed in future, feel free to list your current full drug/supplement regime, Funny9097.

The effect of Viagra wear after 8 hours. 4 hour is the half time.
From my experience, the Viagra effect lasts more than 8 hours, but this is just my experience and not some research.

Back when I used Viagra for ED, 25 mg would last me 24 hours...  go figure.

But then, I am "low" on the enzyme that metabolizes time release medicines...most of them don't release fast if at all.  I got to sit in on a presentation at the Mayo Clinic about time release medicines.  They were working on a "new" pain reliever.  Turns out it worked fine for the Norse ancestry population but would overdose 1/3 of people from India.  This started genetic research into the markers which indicate how much of that enzyme you have.  In the not-too-distant future, time release medicines will be tailored to your genome.

Does anyone know of any negative effects of taking 2 doses of Viagra a day? (Two 12-17mg doses, morning and evening)

This would be taken with the pentoxifylline, as a Cialis replacement.

Thanks for your time.

The warning on the pack says not to take more than 100 mg per day.
So maybe it is fine to take two 12-17 mg doses per day, morning and evening, but I am not a doctor.
Proposing you to monitor your blood pressure one hour after taking if for a while to be sure it is not going down too much. As reference, check your blood pressure before starting.
