Hi from Sydney
« on: January 06, 2015, 07:07:26 PM »

Hi all

Kevin here.  49 year old man.  Had a snapping during sex (bending penis too far back, heard a pop, slight discomfort but carried on in the throes of passion!) about 4 years ago and peyronies appeared about 4-6 months later.  First sign was actually using the toilet sitting down and wondering why pee was pooling on the floor at the base of the pedestal!)

Anyhow, since then I think my curve (up and in) is around 45% and loss of length of about 15% (just over an inch or so.)  I have seen a few specialists and an operation has been suggested which, like everyone I am sure, is the last option I will investigate more.  At 45% thing aren't as bad a many and I still get full erections and no real loss of libido.  On the advice of one of the specialists, I have now just received the 'Andro Peyronie' device.

The minimum 5 month timeline, numbers of hours of use required and the difficulty of the device seem daunting but I will certainly give it a shot.  I'll try and get some pictures up to follow/share the progress over the next few months.  I haven't got a fully erect before the incident 4 years ago photo but have attached a couple of semi erect shots to start the documentation process.  How do I add a photo?  I guess this is quite an old site and doesn't seem to intuitive.  I see the little photo image under the B for bold but that does not seem to do much...

I seem to be luckier than most on this site but would still like to get a bit of length back and reduce the curve as much as possible.

Yes, you are right, surgery is the last resort, not the first!!!
The "specialist" you have seen is not so specialist if he didn't suggest you other things then surgery.
Try first the traction and/or VED, Pentox, low dose Cialis.
Read as much as you can on the forum to understand better this disease and what are the available treatments.
You may want to start here:
Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums
To add a photo you need to have 5 posts and you can do it here:,47.0.html
This board can't be seen by gusts, trolls, etc'
By the way, you may find a Peyronies specialist close to you here:,4063.0.html
and here:,37.0.html
And yes, you are right, those treatments are a marathon, not a sprint.
You may want to read also the board bellow, also this treatment should be considered before surgery:
Xiaflex - Trials and Treatment results - PDS - Peyronies Society Forums

Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe Erectile Dysfunction.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

Thanks for the input.  I guess I'll have to try and add comments to another three posts in order to add a photo.

Definitely see a world class expert. In Australia, or elsewhere. Try VED therapy and traction (with extreme caution) and consider all the oral supplements and drugs that help fight the disease.

ALCAR, Ubiquinol "CoQ10", Arginine or Citrulline, and low dose cialis and pentox.
