Hi All,

Has anyone heard anything regarding successful treatment of Peyronie's with the Rx drug Losartan?  The reason I am asking is that it is used in biotoxin illness patients to reduce TGF-B1 elevations as a result of systemic inflammation.  TGF-B1 is an important inflammatory marker for Peyronie's as well as many other related connective tissue diseases that include the feature of poor or altered wound healing i.e. ehlers-danlos syndrome, hypermobility.

I have searched the various forums here and have seen Losartan mentioned, but not as a treatment for Peyronie's itself.  So I'm curious if anyone has tried or heard anything before I ask my doctor (who will probably have no clue lol).

Cheers.

The drug you are mentioned was mentioned in 7 additional posts.
Until you will get a speciffic answer, make a search on the forum home page for Losartan and read them.
A search for TGF-B1 returned me 15 posts in addition to yours.

Thanks for the reply. I did do a search prior to posting this thread and while I did read them all they hadn't mentioned whether or not the drug was used for specifically treating Peyronies where elevated TGF-B1 was observed. To the best of my knowledge the threads didn't get in to this realm of discussion. But I will look at them more closely now. Thanks.

I read carefully those posts while they were posted, but don't remember them as it was long time ago.
In any case, the treatment didn't became a mainstream.
