Diagnosed with Peyronie's 4 months ago :-(
« on: November 05, 2014, 10:42:10 PM »

I'm 40 and I was diagnosed with peyronie's 4 months ago shortly after my injury. Feelings of depression, anxiety,  and despair run rampant in my life now. Unfortunately, I have a very unsupportive wife, who doesn't want to hear about my condition or get near me since the diagnosis. I overheard her tell a friend one day that she thought it was all in my head, and that I was just crazy. She won't and hasn't gotten near me since the accident to see it, so how would she know. She also refuses to go to the urologist appointments with me. I, like so many others, had the great experience of having 2 urologists tell me to  vitamin e and come back to see them in 6 months to discuss surgery. I finally, about 2 months in got my peyronie's specialist uro to prescribe Pentox. I am using Pentox, larginine, and trazodone to sleep. I am going to ask for low dose cialis next visit since I now have some Erectile Dysfunction issues. I also ordered a traction device, the one used in Dr Levine trials, but can't fit into it properly. It says can fit a 2 to 2.5 inch flaccid , but that is  the case. I can't get my penis to the end of the plate to be able to wrap the noose around it. I can only sit my head in the middle of the plate and use cut foam or a band aid at at the base of the penis to hold it in. It is modifying it and I'm afraid of doing more damage by doing so. I tried stretching my flaccid to fit it and I believe hurt it more by doing so. I also have a hard flaccid penis pretty much all the time. The inflammation, that went away, came back again, and I still have the inflammation. I'm afraid to strap unto the thing again now. I have about a 15 degree bend to the left in the middle and about a 30 degree bend to the right when fully erect. I can feel two plaques on the left(when flaccid or erect) and I can feel at least 2 or three on the right side while I'm ejaculating. Are there any other supplements I shod be on that have been successful for others? Does VED really work, and what type or brand should I get? Is there another traction device someone with a smaller flaccid penis has had any luck with, or has someone with a smaller flaccid combo with a way to modify  their traction decide to work with a smaller flaccid? I didn't mention product names since I do think know if we are allowed to do that on the board postings. This disease is so damn horrible and all the treatments are so indefinite, that it makes you lose hope fast. Has anyone here hear of anything new on the horizon, as far as research, in treating this nasty disease? Anything new other than Xiaflex? Sucks to be us :-(
