I am a 60 year old cancer survivor with acute vertigo issues and thought that this was enough of a trial for my life.  Now I find out that it is quite likely I have peyronies disease.  I had never even heard of such a thing.  I too came to this site hoping for quick answers.  Do this for three weeks, take a pill and poof, no more pain back to normal.  I was shocked at how much pain and suffering and anguish is here.  I appreciate those that are trying to offer hope but I confess so far it sounds pretty bleak. Mine I believe started several months ago when my wife and I were having sex.  I was not as hard as I should have been but during the act she squeezed and it felt like it was broken.  Afterward I was in pain.  I told her she hurt me but was more surprised then worried.  Then a few weeks later I had severe pain with an erection and it killed the mood.  Since then the pain has once been no big deal using KY jelly.  Then the other night it was painful again.  I am wanting to know things like.  1) Does the pain go away?  2) I have a hard feeling near the tip of the penis.  Almost like it is hard as a thick wire.  Is that a symptom?  3)  When the stats say that 14% go away, is that true?  Sometimes this corrects itself?  4) I am seeing a slight curvature toward the body (or is this in my mind because I am scared out of my head) no pun intended? I thought cancer was scary but for some reason this is more frightening.   I cancelled appointment with Peyronies specialist because it seems like it is hopeless.  I have discovered the one major downside to marrying a younger woman.

Jb,
I moved your post so that you will get more attention.

Your symptoms are very common here. What is not common is the 14% you quoted that spontaneously correct. We just don't see that here. Perhaps those guys don't find this forum? In any event, you really should find a urologist that specializes in Peyronies Disease. We have many listed under the Physicians board on the main page. Or, tell us your general area and perhaps someone can make a recommendation. I hate to blow your hopes, but the magic pill doesn't exist. It takes hard work and perseverance to beat this. Those of us who aren't inclined toward either, have surgery. Spend time reading on this forum. It will be your best tool. Best of luck to you as you fight it.
