Hi Ally Urologist prescribed my treatment as 5mg Cialis daily+traction+vit E caps. Finally mastered the Andropenis Gold:) I'm not sure about the Cialis though? I don't have ED and the Cialis does it's job re blood flow to my penis. I was feeling quite ill with 5mg: sore all over my body, especially around the neck, back of head and shoulders. Irritated throat and a bit squeamish in the tummy. Head was a bit dazed and confused. Therefore I cut back to 2.5mg daily. Day 1 hardly any of the symptoms mentioned. Day 2 back to the symptoms mentioned. I'm trying to work out if I should persist with Cialis 2.5mg daily and if so for how long? Have others had similar symptoms that pass with time for the body to adjust to it? or is this not good for my health and I should stop? I will contact my Dr. but to be honest I've got better/more helpful info so far from this forum so wanted to start here. Thanks IC

What is the timing when you are taking the Cialis? I mean morning, evening, night?
I had the side effects you are describing but they gone by now.

May I offer a suggestion. Cut the 5mg in half and see if that helps the side effects. I have also found that some of my meds that give me side effects if I take them at bedtime I don't notice it as much while awake.  Anything you can do to help blood flow to you penis is helpful in the long run,(no pun intended).

No, I do not take Cialis now but that was my experience when I did.

Glad I found this thread.

I just started Cialis Friday last(3 days ago). Yesterday my upper back feels stiff and achy, other areas as well. Although the stiffness and aches are really annoying I would like to stay with the 5 mg daily. Will things get better?

Firstly, I appreciate all of your responses. After 1 week now of taking the 2.5mg dose the side effects have diminished almost completely. Just a bit of a hazy mind every now and then which I can work around. Definitely still getting blood flow to the penis without that 'bursting out of it's skin' feeling. I'll try taking it at night because I've been taking it at breakfast so that suggestion may help further. I'm content to stay with 2.5mg as opposed to nothing in my case. I read a study somewhere on this forum where positive results were achieved with a group of men taking the 2.5mg daily dose. I hope your situation improves csus7 :) Cheers for now. IC

Thanks ic. I'm glad to hear the lower dose is better suiting you. Best of luck my friend.

Definitely not a good idea to take the Cialis in the morning, especially if you have side effects.
I am taking it always before going to sleep, so even if have side effects you will probably be asleep.

Yep-took it before bed last night for the first time, and slept very well, and have been great all day  :)

My side effects, stiff and sore in my shoulders and back, as well as in other places like hips and running down my legs, they seem to have lessened since I began taking cialis last Friday. So i'm going to continue taking the full 5 mg daily.  Now I take it around noon, if not earlier, where as in the beginning I was taking it around dinner time.

One side effect, if one could call it that, was too intense nocturnal erections causing things to be too tight and painful. So taking it early might make it less potent in my system at night.

It's a learning curve.
