Age at Diagnosis 62

Hi guys. I am a newbie and you might say THE HITS JUST KEEP COMING. In September, I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer. I had my prostate removed via robot assisted surgery in October. Shortly after the catheter was removed, I began taking Viagra and seeing a specialist in sexual medicine. When he examined my penis, he noticed a narrowing at the base. My wife says she noticed this too, but I was not aware of it before my surgery. The doctor did an ultrasound, which requires injections of trimix to cause an erection. When I became erect, my penis was shaped like an hour glass, thicker in the middle and thin at the base, and it hinged to the left. From the tip of my penis to where it hinges is about 3.5-4 inches, making sexual intercourse very difficult.
I am scheduled to start injections directly into the plaque. Not sure what medication they are using but I will find out and post.

At this point, I am doing penile injections to try and preserve the erectile tissue and taking Viagra the day after until the day before I inject.

To say all of this came out of the blue is an understatement. Quite honestly, I am ready to consider an implant. But basically, I am just worried about losing sexual function. And oh, my wife and I are having a very difficult time to boot. Thanks for letting me vent and anxious to hear any success stories.

My friend,

Seldom do I feel like I need to have someone that posts sit down with me in person but I do in this case.  In part because we share so much. I would like to discuss prostate cancer as well as the Peyronies Disease with you.  I am 7 or 8 years further down the road than you are.  My Peyronies Disease also started with prostate surgery (Laproscopic).  I attribute tri-mix to causing my Peyronies Disease for reasons I won't go into right now.  Personally I would stop the injections.  I am also interested to know if by any chance you are doctoring in Manhattan?  If you prefer you can answer that in private by sending me a Personal Message.
