I am new to the forum but did read some of it a few months ago. I am 71 and have as long as I remember had some curve but about 3 years ago I slipped getting out of the truck, and fell against the top step. Since that time it has got steadily worse so now is about 90 degrees. I am scheduled for an implant on Jan. 21, 2013 and I believe this doctor only does the Colorplast unit.
I sometimes wonder if I want to do it since seeing the posts of some that have had multiple implants. My Doc says they seldom fail so guess I will carry through.

I don't know why your doctor think:

Have many wonderful implant success stories on this site and others on the web also.

James,
I am 7 weeks post surgery and finally am getting comfortable in regular pants ie levis. I told the doc last week a 6 week checkup that I had been able to wear pants just the last few days, he said "I believe it". For about those first six weeks I was sorry I had done the implant but after getting more healed up and able to use it I am more encouraged.
The damage to penis was bad and he did a lot of work on it which of course made recuperation worse but I finally was able to use it at 7 weeks to satisfy the wife but it is still too sensitive for me to orgasm. I think I lost over an inch but it will be all worthwhile when is all healed.
One problem I have is the pump I feel should be lower in scrotum but the doc says it is ok. It is right up at the top and gets sore if I am not careful. Don't know if he could let it down some but will find out next time I see him and I did get AMS 700 implant which is supposed to the best from what I hear on the forum.
