3cyl VED, are natural erections allowed?
« on: November 16, 2012, 04:06:57 PM »

Hi!

I've had Peyronies for 9 months now. I just got my Vitality 3cyl VED some time ago, and I have to say I don't fully get it. Could you help me out here.

Are you supposed to have natural erection when using VED? Or is it harmful or what?

The purpose of VED is to get blood flowing and stretch the penis in both length and girth, to exercise and loosen up the plaque. Am I right?  If I pump with flaccid penis, It never gets even close to the natural size under vacuum. How is this supposed to stretch it?

If I use the smallest A cylinder, it gets filled up somehow. If I use the medium B cyl, it gets partially full, but the areas where there is plaque, don't fill up too much.  Then if I try to use the biggest C cyl, it doesn't doo anything - if I pump enough it feels uncomfortable in the base of penis but whole penis stays extremely flaccid and small and more twisted than it actually is.

HOWEVER, If I let myself get excited and naturally erect, I can't use more than 1-2 pumps and it immediately starts to feel a bit uncomfortable, very tight. But this does stretch it beyond the natural dimensions however.

What is the right way and how is this supposed to be done? Should pumping erect penis be avoided?

Can you other guys pump your flaccid penis to fully erect without any natural erection, just by vacuum? How many pumps do you do to achieve that?

How many times you pump the handle with VITALITY 3cyl VED?

Like I said above, if I try to pump flaccid penis, I can pump 4-8 times (B&C cyls) or 2-4 times (A cyl) before it feels uncomfortable in the base of penis, but the penis doesn't get too full in bigger cylinders. It fills up the smaller one though.

If I'm naturally erect, only 1-2 pumps and it starts to feel too tight. How many do you guys use?

I have now started the 26week protocol, and I'm on my first A cyl week. Doing 1x 15minutes session per day, which is something like 15-20 cycles during that 15 minutes. Don't know yet if this is doing good or bad, penis has more slight pain sometimes after pumping, and it gets pretty shrunk after pumping.  What I'm trying to do is fixing the curves and regaining some girth to the shaft which I have lost.

Am I doing it right? When will I have first positive results?

I have plaque all the way on the upside of penis, from glands to inside my body. However my upside curve is pretty mild like 25degree max. My biggest concern is lots of plaque along the left side of penis, why the left side doesn't fill completely and causes a 15-20degree curve to left.

Phase I,

You should contact or send a PM to forum member OLD MAN. He is the forum expert on VED usage. It sounds to me like you are not getting a proper seal around the base of your penis and the VED. You don't need a natural erection while using the VED. When the VED is used properly you should achieve an erection that is very similar in size to your natural one.

So if it is the same why use the VED? Many guys are using VED therapy to straighten a curve in their erection due to Peyronies disease. The VED tubes (different sizes) help to hold your erection in a straightened position which places tension on the areas where you have scar tissue causing the curve. the whole purpose is to "re-mold" the scar tissue to straighten your curve and overall improve penile health.

Some guys prefer to use traction devices to achieve similar results.

I know an erect penis is not recommended to be used with VED.
You need to be carefull if you do use it this way.
If you are having a sealing or vacuum leaking issue you may want to use more lube around the rubber sealing surface. If you rotated it back and forth a slightly it can help make a better seal.

You can get an idea of the amount of vacuum being pulled by the sound it makes when you relase it.
You should see an immediate and  distinct decrease in your erection when you release vaccum.
Good Luck

Phase1,

You seem to indicate that in the large cylinder, the vacuum does not produce an engorgement of blood and create an erection as big as a natural erection.  If that is what you are saying it baffles me and seems to defy reason.  If you can get natural erections it confirms good blood flow channels.  A proper vacuum should draw blood into the penis and the degree of erection should be directly controlled by the amount of vacuum.  I think you are either not getting a good seal and creating a vacuum or you are pumping too hard and too fast and not waiting for the blood to fill your penis.  This may cause discomfort and is potentially damaging.

Phase1

A question:
Except VED, are you doing some other treatment to fight this disease?
VED is very good in my opinion, but it works better combined with some oral treatment, again my opinion.

Ok, I have now used VED for little bit over 2 weeks. Just done 2 days with the medium B cylinder now.

And I must say I just don't get it.

- Specifically with the B cylinder, I can get a good seal to the base, pump and feel the vacuum (all the way to the uncomfortability if I'd want) - but it doesn't do much. It's nothing like erection, after few cycles it gets a little bit bloated (as the skin gets "swollen" etc) but it doesn't get too much over flaccid length, and nothing close of erection girth.

Then I can take the VED off, think about my girlfriend for a second and have a nice solid erection? Wtf really..?

I can also get a great erection in VED if I get excited, but when my "valves are closed" it seems it doesn't get erect in vacuum.

Also, after VED I have that hard, shrinken flaccid penis and deformity is worse then before it?

During these 2 weeks I have slowly started to use Pentox as well, I have very bad side effects from it but I've been able to take 200mg at morning and 200mg at evening now for 2 weeks.

It seems to give me more "soft" and relaxed flaccid state, and at first I noticed I was getting more lengthy erection and flaccid state (if I massage it) unexpectedly because it's more relaxed, but now in the last week it's got smaller at flaccid state and the curve has got worse to the left!

I'm not sure if I'm actually doing harm to my peyronies with this VED experiment. Maybe I should put it in hold for a week and see?

p.s. I'm having bad feelings for VED from the beginning, because before I ever got Peyronies, I once tried a sex shop VED for few weeks. I was not overpumping it, but I remember I was getting a mild left curve from it pretty quickly. After I stopped it, the curve went away. Now I'm really having a left curve with peyronies, and it seems to be getting more worse with VED as well.

Hi i've started ved in the same time frame as you also. It defo sounds like you need to get more of a seal or use the second ring at the base too.

I have some more questions resulting from this thread though:

Why do you have to be careful if getting a natural erection whilst vacuum pumping?

Isn't it all the same thing, getting blood flow down there?

I'm still practicing my ved technique and I have found that if for some reason I'm not getting a 100 % seal but I think of something that gets me hard and have a natural erection that kinda helps me get the full stretch. Is this wrong then?

The other thing I'm wary about is how much I should be pumping. It's difficult to know what is a full erection for me nowadays as i have lost length, so i keep pumping to try and get to where i was before lengthwise, but can't, and stop just before pain. i stop when there is like mild discomfort / tightness , i would describe it as a strain. Is that ok? It feels like anything less would be pointless? but i'm not sure if i'm imagining it but i'm wondering if my curvature has increased by a small amount since using ved. Or maybe i'm still in the process of phase 1 curving - though i've had this for 7 months or so now.

Could I be making this worse - am i overdoing it? I hope not, as ved is pretty much my last treatment resort other than the prospect of xiaflex.

Phase1

I would like to say that you are somehow aggressive with Pentox. I had side effects in the beginning, but now with 3*400mg daily no any side effects. In my opinion need time to our body to get used to Pentox. Try 3*400mg morning, lunch and dinner.

Yes Pentox hits me pretty hard. First time i took one 400mg dose, I almost had an panic attack and very uncomfortable feeling. Also felt hot and swetty.

Now the 200mg + 200mg has gone pretty well, eventhough that makes me a little bit dizzy and anxiety as well. I mean if everything goes bad, like when I feel my peyronies is going worse - if I'm on pentox at that moment I really get extremely depressed and panicking.  Without pentox I can take it more calm.

But I'm gonna give it a chance, taking 200+200 pretty regularly now and trying to up it to 400 + 200 and then 400 + 400 at some point... Let's see if I can tolerate that much.

There is no problem me getting a seal with the VED, I get excellent seal and the vacuum starts to build right from the first pump. With A cylinder everything goes pretty smoothly and I can create pretty tight fit (except the left side that has indentations) and everything. It's not as long as natural erection but I think that's also because the cylinder is so narrow.

But the problem comes with the B cylinder, I have tried small and large inserts, pumping slow and everything - but all I get is a "bloat" and uncomfortability to the base of penis. The shaft and glans have almost no effect at all! Very weird.

Now when I just thought things could be going to better, I have had major tightness in the penis for few days, I couldn't get erection naturally the other day, which made me panicking. And you know when that hits you, you can't just get erection because you just wait to see if  you're dick is straight or curved.  I could get climax masturbating but with soft dick!

Yesterday I even had problems getting erection with Cialis, the shaft just felt so damn tight that I was trouble getting any bloodflow in it.

Therefore I decided, that something has to be happened, either it's the VED or the Pentox. I decided to leave VED off for a week and see how it goes.

Gentlemen,

Based on my own personal experience with my VED, it takes some time for your penis to get used to being engorged with blood by the vacuum erection device.  I don't remember how long it took for me to get used to it, but I think it was months rather than weeks.  When it comes to the VED and to Peyronies Disease, in general, patience is the key word.

Also, at least for me, my VED erection is not like my natural erection...my VED erection is not really hard, it's more like an enlarged version of a 50% erection.  In other words, it's the size of my erected penis, but not what I would call a "hard on".

I hope this will help you all be more patient with the VED.  After you get the hang of it, it will work very well and you will even find you need less vacuum pressure to achieve an erection than you did when you started.
