Hi I'm 17 and suicidal
« on: March 02, 2012, 07:51:07 AM »

Hello everyone! I have an hourglass deformity, loss in girth, a weak erection, I think some plaque but no change in angle, and I think Sclerosing lymphangitis (SL) also I have minimal pain and usually only when squeezing the plaque.

I have noticed the loss in girth and erection about a month or two ago, and then just recently saw the hourglass deformity. And I am only 17! And I am dating!

I already have depression and this just feels like a big [email protected]< you from God. I'm like if this thing doesn't go away soon I swear I am going to kill myself. I'm too young to live with this!

So anyway I just got back from the Hospital and I met with the doctor from the out patient department. He asked me to show him my penis and being so desperate, I did (I felt so prideless  :-[) He said he wasn't sure so he transferred me to the urology section but I can only get an appointment on the 16th!!!! That's two weeks from now! peyronies just gets worst doesn't it! Ahh!!

huh sorry for the rant, I just feel so hopeless now. I could use some help.

Hi Ryan
I would like first of all to tell you that is hope, specially for young people like you.
You need first to cool down and to understand that have what to do, especially because you are just in the beginning of this disease.
Two weeks are short time and nothing is happening so fast so wait to see the uro.
Don't think about to kill yourself. Life is to good and you are just in the beginning. I am shore you will have great things in the future and your life will be full of happiness.
Continue dating like nothing is happening. Enjoy the day by day excitements in your relations.
I was many times in my life in situations that seems that don't have solutions but thanks God the situations always get under control and they had always a happy end.
To the subject:
Today have much more awareness to Peyronie's and have more and more researches to find a cure to this disease. Have some trials that ended and we are waiting for the results, others ongoing.
To help youself in mean time, try to read the topics on the forum to understand better this disease.
Keep in touch with us and don't give up. Let us know what your uro will say and then we will be able to tell you better what to do.

Don't think about what you have done in the past and be sorry for that because in any case it will not help. Just look forward.
We have a say in my country (Romania): "Don't cry for the milk that spill from the glass, in any case can't put it back".
You will see that you will find solution for your problem.
Again, read the forum and be in touch with us.

Ryan,

At 17 there is a good chance you don't even have Peyronies Disease.  And if you do, it may resolve it's self without any further problems.  You may have just overdone it so much, your penis is crying for help.  Don't awfulize the future or agonize about the past.  Either way, what's done is done and even if you have Peyronies Disease, it's not the end of your sex like.  I've had it for almost 4 years and I still have a great sex life.  And I'm 62!  You're 17!  You probably have a very good chance of it all just going away.

Your best bet at this stage is to give your penis a well deserved rest;see the urologist and try not to think about it too much.  Worrying and thinking about all the bad things that could happen will not help you.

When this crisis passes, as it probably will;try to treat your penis a little more gently and learn a valuable lesson from all the turmoil you're going through right now.  Good luck to you and hang in there.

Ryan:

Man what a bummer at such a young age!! However, you should heed the advice given you in the previous posts and that is "give your most prized possession a rest". Try your best not to even think about sex for several weeks in order that your body can begin to repair itself. Now having said that I will give you some sage advice that I have learned over the past 58 plus years of having Peyronies Disease.

I first developed Peyronies Disease at the age of 24 as a result of a heated sexual encounter in the backseat of my car. My partner slid out from under me and literally broke the penile shaft. Many and various treatments were done before any success in recovery occurred. You can read my history in the many posts on the main forum. Type in my user name in the search block and it should bring up many of my posts giving comfort and advice to many guys.

As I said above, give the young tool a rest and let it recover. In the meantime, try to get an appointment from a qualified uro who can diagnose your problem as actually being Peyronies Disease. It might well be just your body trying to tell you to stop abusing it.

We all are here to help in any case. I am fastly approaching 83 years of age and have been dealing with Peyronies Disease for the past 58 plus years. At present, I am virtually clear of Peyronies Disease symptoms and can still get erections with the use of the VED (vacuum erection device) and have sex anytime I desire.

Let me know if there is anything I can do to help with your problem.

ryan95,

Step 1: Listen to what Old Man said below, he knows his stuff.

Step 2: Live your life. I got this at 29 and thought life was over. I went to a specialist urologist, took the prescribed meds (pentox) and within a few months all the pain was gone and within a year I had recovered some size.

Life isn't over. Peyronie's is just a challenge. If you can handle it you can handle anything.

Best,

Ryan95,

My experience is that one of the ways to deal with something that feels huge that you can't do anything about, is to take precautions to not ruminate and let it just take over your mind.  If there are things you can do--request an earlier appt., talk to somebody who appreciates how frightening all this might be, or even vent on a forum like this--then do it, but pay attention when you just feel your mind whirling around the same thing without direction or purpose or anything you can do.  Then (I find) it's good to have a little repertoire of things to move your mind on:  see a movie, listen to a certain album, go running, watch a ball game... really anything that can take up the focus of your whole mind for a bit. Once I do that, I come out of it in a place with more perspective.  (I find driving and watching network TV with lots of commercials and certain on-line games are the worst for provoking ruminating.)  But you'll get through this.  There are an awful lot of people on this forum who know it's hard and also know it's not the end of the world... and that there are things to do that can be really helpful.  And if you really do feel suicidal, than you should call somebody to help you--there are a lot of people out there who understand what that's like and know what to do.  That's not the end of the world either but it does mean you need to get help.  You'll make it through this.

Ryan, there are stories out there of very young men who healed just fine.  Your bodies at that age are so much more resilient and can heal much faster and more effectively.  I'm 50, and have seen much improvement from a few changes I made.  Eat healthy, exercise, take pentox, and even Cialis low dose daily, get a urologist who is keen on Peyronies, and be patient.

It is not the end of your life, you have a high probability of bouncing back from this.

Best to you, and keep us updated.

Thanks all for the advice, will look it pentox and the hydropump thing. I wanna know a few things though. First of all, can I get the pentox without prescription? Also do you think I am viable for Verapamil injections? and what might be the cost of these meds? Btw I have no visible curvature yet.

Hang on it there Ryan. While it is horrible that you're experiencing this at such a young age there are treatments available to help. There's no magic bullet as such, but if you start on a regimen and manage to reduce or limit the deformity somewhat that's a good start. There's pentox and VED etc and many men have benefited from these. Also surgery is an option further down the line if required (once the condition has stabilised). In additional promising treatments are in development. Also, as others have said some conditions improve somewhat on their own, how many I'm not sure. Keep us in the loop with regard to your appointment..

Greetings Ryan,
PLEASE...listen to the advice that you have gotten from others. And don't think of your
call for help as a Rant. Post what is in your heart and say what you feel needs to be
said as often as you want and in as many words you find necessary. My promise to you Ryan is that
you will always have the attention of some of the most caring people on this planet here
on this forum. I rarely post on this forum but I do read what people say and have for years.

Allow me to add some advice of my own. Make sure that the Urologist you see has a strong
understanding of Peyronies Disease, if not he is of no use to you. And DON'T be talked into surgery or any
form of invasive treatment in such an early stage of Peyronies Disease. I would also agree that you may want
to give your penis a rest. Believe me Ryan.....I was 17 once as well and that can be difficult
to do but not impossible. Often times others have seen positive results just easing off self
gratification. This is fact my friend. Years into having Peyronies Disease I decided to lighten up my sex life
and with an understanding wife I saw positive results just cooling things down for a while.

Good Luck at your appointment and keep us all up to date, we don't mind!!!!!!!!!!

Best to you,
Barry

Ryan
About your last questions:
You can get the Pentox also without prescription at https://www.riverpharmacy.ca/drug/trentalhttps://www.riverpharmacy.ca/drug/trental
The prices are there also.
I just get my 600 pills I bought from them.
Regarding Verapamil injections I am strongly proposing you to read the topics on the subject before you are taking any decision. You can also ask the forum if things will not be enough clear.
Keep in touch
