Contrast Therapy

Hi,

I want to share my anecdata on a simple thing I did that helped me a lot.

I am taking cold showers each day. After hearing that warmth might help with elasticity of the scar tissue I did some Googling and found that for some scars contrast therapy might be helpful. I therefore started doing this each morning.

My protocol is very simple. I let the water drip over my penis. I alternate between cold and warm water for ca. 5 minutes. I do around 15 seconds warm, 15 seconds cold, etc.

I am doing very gentle temperatures (not hot, not icy). Also I hold my other hand in the water stream because it is hard to feel the temperature with the penis.

For me this helped with pain. A side effect is, that after the shower my penis is fuller which hides the scar tissue I have on my right side for some hours at least. I expect that this also helps with blood flow which is something beneficial for my ED. My bottleneck form improved over the last months where I was doing this. Correlation is not causation so...

... I think this is not magic, but for me a nice little add on to my gentle multimodal approach.

Kind regards
T.

I am sure that the warm water helps. You can compare it too heat therapy. Also they say that cold showers stimulates dopamine production.
