It is with regret and sadness that we announce that Old Man, the last of our remaining founding forum members and a man that many knew as a friend, passed from this life a few months ago.  He had not long before celebrated his ninety-fifth birthday. He just lost his wife of fifty-nine years just a couple of years ago. We knew of his admission to convalescent care months ago and spoke to him on several occasions.

For over twenty years, Old Man has helped countless men with his knowledge of Peyronies Disease in general and specifically his knowledge of the Vacuum Erection Device. He honestly preceded the medical community in establishing the value of this treatment, which almost every doctor dismissed at the time. Anyone who knew him knew his willingness to help everyone. In addition to his volunteer help here, he was an online counselor for men battling cancer.

I have to ask seriously if the existence of this forum is not, in large part, due to Old Man. When I founded the forerunner to this forum, I was unknown in Peyronies Disease circles, but Old Man was already an established and respected member of the Peyronies Disease community.  Many forums came and went, but only two poorly run forums existed when I launched the forum.  We had about ten members. Within a few weeks, Old Man trusted me enough to give us a try and came over. That was his stamp of approval and a dozen well-known, active members immediately followed him. That was the beginning of the growth of this forum, and within a year, the other forums went under.

Old Man grew up working on his family farm in the 1930s before joining the Navy to start his 37-year military career. He also served in the Army National Guard, Air Force Reserve, and Navy Reserve. In his community, he was known as a master of many skills, and his life was defined by helping those in need. He faithfully attended church services and Bible study classes almost to the end of his life and he was a longtime member of his local Masonic Lodge.

Whether he helped you directly or helped you indirectly by supporting this forum, we all owe Old Man a debt of gratitude, a salute, and a moment of silence as he leaves us to be back by the side of his dear wife.

Until we meet again, old friend!

I think everyone who has been here for a while are very familiar with him. He truly spent an incredible amount of time on here making post after post trying to help people. Such a polite person too, you could truly tell by his posts he was a good hearted fella. The info he spread regarding pumping has been so valuable and appreciated. I still read his old posts from time to time to refresh my memory because I pump.. This place was better with him around. He is sorely missed. Thank you for the tribute post Hawk.

May he rest in peace..

Very sad to hear, he will be missed. He reached out to me and gave me very valuable advice on using the VED when I first got peyronies almost 8 years ago.

May he R.I.P.

The passing of one of the greats. I had many pleasant and often humorous discussions with Old Man over the years and his presence will be missed. Rest in peace, Old Man.
