My penile implant surgery took place on Monday July 29th at 7:45 am, and it was completed by 10:35 am. Initially, the pain was greater than I expected, though I did get some relief later that night. The first night post-surgery was horrible—I managed to sleep only 2 hours due to the pain. It's important to note that narcotics and I don't mix well. They make me super agitated, so I was only taking 5 mg instead of the prescribed 10 mg of oxycodone. I definitely don't enjoy the "trip" that narcotics induce.

Day 2 was not easy at all. I had to take a higher dose of medication at one point, and I also reacted to the general anesthetic, which made my entire body feel like it had worked out for an entire day. I experienced soreness like never before, and I could basically not walk.

On Wednesday, the drain was removed, which brought some relief. That night, I managed to sleep a total of 10 hours, with just a few breaks in between. However, Thursday has been quite rough. My scrotum has swollen to the size of a very large grapefruit and is basically black.

Considering my medical history, I was on blood thinners due to having had two heart attacks and stents put in a year ago. I had to stop taking the blood thinners 10 days before the surgery and resumed them on Wednesday. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

What type of implant did you get, I am guessing that this is your first as I do not see anything on your signature line.  The first time is the worst, yes it hurts like hell but it will improve, give it a few more days, ice, ice, ice, that is a big part of the healing.

Good luck. Looking forward to hearing your story. Also as Wilson said, what type of implant did you get? Also how much did it cost etc? My next steps is likely to be an implant so I would like to find out the process. Who decided which one you got etc?
