Hello
Bought a Restorex probably like 2 yrs ago. Very inconsistent usage due to demands of taping. Stumbled upon the idea of make up pads on this website and have to say it's been a revelation. I'm able to comfortably wear the device for my current sessions and don't have the cost or misery of taping. My morning wood has been terrific and it seems my member is reacting to sessions in a very positive way. I feel like I could go for much longer than the suggested 15min straight/15min 90 degree. Has anyone extended the time length of sessions and what were results?

Someone posted a similar question in the 'ask Dr. Trost' section of the forum and here was his answer

Good question.  In our very first study (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30916626/), we had men use the device 30, 60, or 90 minutes daily (with each session being 30 minutes: 15 straight, 15 counterbending).  In that study, we saw improvements in length and curve among all 3 groups compared to no treatment.  But there were minimal differences between groups (all appeared very similar).  One of the challenges with dose studies like that though is that you need a lot of study power (i.e. very large numbers of men enrolling) to notice differences.  So, we'd probably have to do a study of 500-1000 men or so to truly know how much of a difference there is between those groups.  But the early study showed that if there is a difference, it's a relatively small one.  Putting all that together, doing it 30 minutes a day achieves the far majority of benefits.  Doing it up to 90 minutes daily has been studied in a rigorous way where we can say that there is no harm, but we haven't studied it longer than that.  I have had patients use it for several hours daily without any issues reported, but I haven't formally studied it yet.  In reality, it's very difficult to get someone to use a device for more than 1 hour daily, no matter how strongly you recommended it.  So, even if we did prove additional benefits with 6 hours' use, we could never get patients to do it clinically (and hence it isn't a useful therapy).

Thanks Richie. Couldn't haven't asked for a more concise answer. The most important part being Dr. Trost stated they've studied 90min a day sessions and it seems safe. I've had the disease since 2014 so wearing the device has almost become part of my lifestyle in the sense it's a long term commitment. Perhaps the safest move forward would be to add an additional 30 min session bringing my daily total up to 90min. I would be interested in hearing from anyone that has worn the device for longer than 30min in one session to hear how their guy reacted to the longer stress and if they felt positive results. Thanks for any input.

At one stage I was doing 45 minute sessions twice a day with the RestoreX. My penis seemed fine, but in some ways I think 3 x 30 minutes is better as it's three seperate periods of stretching, rather than just two. I think Dr Trost also mentioned somewhere that 30 minutes was approximately a 'max stretch' time and that there wasn't any benefit on a cellular level to stretching for a longer period of time in a single session.

Im currently back to doing the 2 x 30 minute sessions and 2 x 20 minute VED sessions per day and feel that anything more would be too much stress to my penis. But if I wasn't doing the VED I think I'd do 3 x 30 minute RestoreX sessions.

I honestly can't say whether anything I've done has made things better or worse over the last year and a half, because I've seen both progression in some ways and improvement in others. But I continue to do the therapies in the hope that over time they have a net positive, or at the very least retain length and penile health if I end up with an implant.
