For all of you that have used RestoreX (I've only used mine twice), did you experience initial soreness around where your plaques are located and at the glans?

Yes, definitely felt some general soreness the first weeks I used it. I also did not use any heat pad and maybe applied too much traction too soon. I took a break for a week and restarted the treatment taking it a lot slower in terms of traction (i.e. the white lines showing) as well as using a warm rice sock. Also changed from the tape that comes with the device to a softer and thicker gauss.

Haven't had any problems since then and now I have been using the full traction for 3 months. If you aren't using any heat therapy, that might help you a bit with the pain. If you feel quite significant pain after use over a period of time I'd advice you to take a break for a week or so.

Flattening - any progress after three months?

Yes, basically on all fronts except for the narrowing and the dent around my second plaque. Some improvement on the jointedness as well, although I'd prefer it to become more stable. I'm doing VED as well and maybe that takes a bit longer to have an effect.

Also, I was able to get in touch with Dr. Trost (Inventor of RestoreX) He said:

"Hi R••••,
Thanks for the clarification.  For the soreness of the plaque, that's actually pretty common.  It's ironic because things like traction will usually prolong the pain associated with a plaque, but it prevents it from causing as bad deformity as it might otherwise.  It's almost like pulling on an area where you have a cut.  It takes longer for the cut to heal, but it prevents it from contracting in as much as it would have otherwise.

And for the cold glans, that also is common with the device.  I think it probably occurs in 100% of cases where it is used correctly.  Technically, you could probably keep the device clamped for about 12 hours without problems, but the company ultimately decided to put the limit at 30 minutes at a time out of an abundance of caution (similar to restrictions with vacuum devices).

Glad to hear about the improvements with erectile function and length.  We were frankly shocked when we saw the erectile function data.  But it has been fairly consistent with every randomized study we've done on the device.  Really surprising, for sure.

Thanks,
Landon"

That is so nice that the doctor reached out to you! Thank you for sharing Anaduck!

Nice! I absolutely felt this dull pain while using RestoreX as well. I take it as a good sign of scar remodeling. Many guys get scared and stop but this validates my personal hypothesis. You have to stretch the scar so that it heals in an elongated state. I wish i would have understood this concept right away. That's why it's so important to start VED and traction as soon as possible.
Injury in April 2020. Onset of ED.
Started RestoreX and VED 2 months after injury.
Taking 10mg daily cialis, pentox, coq10, vit-e.
Traction (+1 inch)/VED/PGE-1/DMSO+X

Luis, I agree. My erectile function has always been mostly good and only occasionally about 75% (I've been very fortunate so far). However, after only using RestoreX for less than a week, it's almost as if I'm a teenager again. The almost immediate effect on erectile function and blood flow is astonishing.

I would recommend traction therapy, especially RestoreX for all men with Peyronies, it is great so far.

So far I've regained roughly 1 out of the 2 cm I lost due to Peyronies Disease. No visible effect on girth yet. I doubt traction alone will have a great impact on girth, I think that'll mainly be due to VED is anything. That is why I'm doing both, along with the usual prescription drugs and supplements.

It is reassuring that Trost says it could potentially be ok to keep the clamp on for 12 hrs, I was definitely worried about that the first couple of times I did it!

Mr man

I had swelling in the trunk section. I took a break. Then reduced the tension. Strictly abiding by the restorex regime. After about 8 weeks. There was some extra length. There was some extra girth, but no change to angle. Which is my main concern. At that point I gave up with restorex and opted for traction 8 hours a day.
Latest routine. Started l-lysine 3mg daily, l-proline 5mg daily. Increased vit c intake. Accompanied with almost daily vacuum therapy. Pumping to 100% Exercise caution! Made good progress. L arginine supplements and prescribed potaba are helping.

Flat - how long did it take to see the results?

jj21 - Around 3 months. I am currently at 4 months with this regime and counting.

Is Dr. Trost referring to pain during or after wearing the device? I have been doing some manual traction and notice a bit of discomfort in the area of my plaque the day after using manual traction. Wondering if I'm doing more damage or not....

Hello Anon,

My question was about pain in general while doing traction; both during and after. I do not do manual traction myself, since the "white-lines" on RestoreX reassure me that I'm not going to hurt myself. Upon further research, I've read that stretching for any scar tissue in general actually helps to realign the collagen fibers, Peyronies plaques are no exemption. I'm sure this could lead to some discomfort, I would just be careful doing manual traction, maybe that's just my personal preference; I do not know enough about it to recommend it.

Anyways, good luck!
