Greetings to everyone,

Sorry for the lengthy post, but I gotta keep it real. So this is an overview of my story of getting Peyronie's:

I am 23 now and I always used to masturbate a lot (without lubricates), never worrying about any major injuries, I simply did not know that the penis can bent, twist and turn. However, there were also phases in my life were I did not masturbate for months. During the last 5 months I struggled with a lot of solitude, negativity, lack of sport etc. due to personal problems and started to masturbate heavily again and to smoke a lot of cigarettes to 'escape'. This is most probably the cause of my penis deformation. 2 months ago I noticed a 20-25° bent to the right from the middle of my penis and was shocked. But somehow I calmed myself by saying that it will go away with time and didn't inquire further. I forgot about it and continued masturbating heavily and eventually the same bent that was initially only discernible in a flaccid state also appeared whenever I became erect. This was perhaps 2-3 weeks ago and also when I realized this is a serious problem which I have to solve as wisely as possible. My penis is bent 20-25° to the right and also the glans seems to have twisted - when I stand sideways in front of a mirror showing my right shoulder and look at my erect penis I see the glans as if I would see it when I used to look on my penis when it was healthy and straight.

I went to 3 urologist by now and they all seem clueless to me and naturally not really capable of understanding the way it affects me mentally. All of them said that they could feel no plaques and told me to wait and see how it progresses. The first doctor simply said it is normal and nothing to worry about since in mine is not a case where sexual intercourse is impaired. The second doctor said that I don't have Peyronie's disease and advised me to use olive oil to massage the area where the bending starts and to take Vitamin E pills. The third doctor said I have Peyronie's  and told me that I should try Potaba and told me that If I suffer from the deformity and it doesn't get better or even worse after a year I can undergo surgery once the disease is chronic.

Like almost everyone on here, I want to avoid surgery and any worsening of my symptoms like the bent and the painless swelling/inflammation. I can not imagine that the only thing I could do is to wait and see and thus I searched the internet for information and the manual treatments such as stretching, massage, and heat therapy seem to be very reasonable to me. This is where I need help from someone who can evaluate which therapy is best for me.

Again, I am 23 and what caused Peyronie's in my case was most likely the combination of an unhealthy lifestyle (smoking, no fitness) and forceful masturbation. Now my penis is bent 20-25° to the right from the middle of the shaft and also the glans and seems to have twisted from the middle of the shaft. This deformity can be seen in both flaccid and erect state. When I grab my flaccid penis and try to hold it on the glans in order to make it look straight, one can see that the area where the bend starts is much bigger and that it looks swollen. However, it is true that there are no plaques or wounds that I can feel when I go over it with my finger. What can I do (the urge in me to manually manipulate my penis and work against the bend is immense)? Why is it not best to take no treatments and just let it progress naturally (as there are cases where the deformity disappeared by itself)? I have quit masturbation, smoking and started playing soccer, but can traction and heat be really helpful in my case? If this is so and someone can explain its benefits then I would be glad for instructions because I have a lot of time to do it the next 3 months at least (no work). Can I do manual traction theoretically 5 hours or even a whole day if possible to improve the condition of my penis or should I start with 5-10 min, 2 times a day or something similar? Also does massaging the injured area really help, if so, how do I massage the area where the injuries/traumas occurred without causing further damage? Where do I place my penis in my underwear and which underwear do I wear best? When and how do I keep my penis warm and why is it not better to cool it, especially the injured area?

I hope somebody can help me out. I somewhere read that there are certain treatments or a certain treatment that make the chance that the body cures the disease on its own impossible, definitely want to avoid that. I now have Potaba and Vitamin E pills at home, but I am sceptical about them, especially Potaba.

All the best and thank you for your time

First, read the survival guide thread here.

Second, read as much as you can on this forum for about one week, then back off and come here as needed.

Potaba and vit. E are basically crap, but they won't hurt you.

I would consider getting another uro and getting an ultrasound done.

Massaging the area of your bend might aggravate it depending on what you're doing and how long you're doing it for.

I would not place much hope in it resolving itself. That is very rare. And only seems to occur when the deformity is directly due to a penile fracture. And then, it is rare.

And don't beat yourself up for "causing" your deformity. People smoke and drink and masturbate their whole lives and don't get peyronie's. It is genetic (that is up for some debate but I am convinced).

It looks like you've started to take steps to improve your health. So that's good. As for your question about 5 hours a day of manual traction, youbwould end up hurting yourself if you jumped right into it at that level. Slow and low is the way to go.

Heat therapy is good in general. I would avoid cold.
Like anything, moderation is key. Look up "rice sock." Hot hands packs are good too. I use them before and after traction sessions and sometimes if I am riding in my car.

Underwear not real important other than avoiding restrictive tight clothing. Don't bend your penis into uncomfortable positions I mean. Bloodflow is the name of the game with peyronie's. Anything that increases that is good.

Consider purchasing an device like penimaster pro or restorex and possibly a VED unit.

Consider daily cialis, arginine, pentox, acetyl carnitine, ubiquinol, etc. Read about them first.

And then come back here as you will have more questions.

Welcome swag, great advice from Sam!
Once you read the guide I'd consider adding to your potaba, a nightly low dose generic cialis (2.5-5mg) or viagra (50mg), traction with a suction cup for glans (not noose) And maybe VED.  If doc would switch you from potabs to pentox that may be more helpful.  You can use heat before or after traction or VED.  As Sam said, start slow and build up with time for traction to 5+ hrs a day.  If you do VED-NEVER pump to full erection or you could cause damage.  There are protocols for the traction and VED here on forum.  Often plaque cannot be felt but could probably be seen on ultrasound.  However, if the bend and twist are new I'm sure the doc who diagnosed Peyronie's is correct-as are you to get started w treatment!
