Just curious whether anyone goes beyond the recommended 2X30 minutes per day? Whether there's any benefit or disadvantages doing more.

I'd email Dr Trost who designed the device and is studying it.

If you do call, please also ask if there are benefits to continuing regular 2Xday past the 12 weeks, and please post what you find out.
age 69, PDS started March 2019, still trying to figure this out. Glad to have found this site.

The rest time between sessions is probably quite important considering the high tension the device works at. How much you can take would definitely vary depending on the individual.

Traction gains don't stop at 12 weeks, restorex is traction, restorex gains don't stop at 12 weeks.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

I've been using the reestorex since beg of may
for a 25 deg or so bend upwards. So far no improvement, so I have started to inrease time to about 40 min. Also have gone to 3 times a day when I have the chance. Last item, instructions say to stretch 15 min straight then 15 min with restorex in bent position. I have done just a few min straight to warm up, then bent the rest of the time (pretty much all along). I am hoping increase time will give some improvement. No adverse reaction (beg of oct) thus far to increased time. If any improvement I will for sure post.

This is a prime example how the medical industry/docs are in the way of an optimal solution.
My guess is they make this recommendation to be secure if someone, and there's always at least one, overuses it causing more problems. Liabilities..

I used an extender at some point 8+ hours daily for weeks. 1 set, depending on the intensity, I did 20 to 60 minutes.
I think the more you use it the better IF you follow some rules... Don't get cold, don't hurt, don't strain. Increase time before you increase intensity but also mix it up.
That means some people might have to start with 10 minutes and low intensity increasing it by 1 minute every other day..
If you feel adverse reactions stop immediately and do less next time.
