This is curious: this exact paper was already submitted on a different journal almost one year ago (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6186741/) and I know this because it was reported on this forum (https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,11598.0.html).

Is there any reason for this? Do medical researchers usually submit their same work for different journals or is this rare? If so, would this mean that they really believe that what they found could be really working (and they'd subsequently try to get as much coverage as possible) instead of being the umpteenth self-promtion act within their own community?

Not rare. Researchers, not just medical.

May be also.

It will be interesting to know if they have done some progress after one year, the first publication from August, 2018

LOL bro, how is this even possible? DENTS = FIBROSIS.

This fact says everything that must be said on doctors and their stupid diagnostical instruments.

I bet that more than one year has passed since they have been experimenting with this. If the first paper was published in 2018, I think that these guys might have been testing the drug for Peyronie's at least since 2017. This would mean that at least two years have passed.

@Bent Ding Dong: this drug is an antitumoral based on my understanding (https://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-drug/def/alk5-inhibitor-tew-7197). Keep us posted if you manage to find a complacent oncologist who's willing to prescribe you this.
