What to eat on OMAD/keto diet?

Hey people,

I read some good things about the keto diet in combination with intermittent fasting. I already tried intermittent fasting and ate one meal a day, but I did eat potatoes, bread, bananas etc.

Now I want to start back on eating one meal a day, I just wonder what would that one meal look like? I want to eat a meal that contains all the nutritions I need while being fully keto.

What does your daily meal look like? What kind of foods are tasty yet fully keto and what should I avoid? I know there's a lot of info about this topic already, but I'm so used to eating potatoes, vegetables and meat (classic dutch dinner) that I wouldn't know what else to eat. Just cutting out the potatoes without adding in something else would probably not be enough for me to get my daily nutritions needed.
Age: 25
Date of onset: 17
Symptoms: sharp pains, numbness, change in shape/size, hourglassing and discolaration from jelqing/VED usage as a teen. Diagnosed with a venous leak and possible scarring.
Treatments tried: cialis, pentox and VED didnt help

popopo i tried omad twice
 the first time for 2 weeks after 7 weeks 18:6 IF clean eating and athletic lifestyle(2 hours a day workout,good sleep)
 the second time for 5 weeks because of  work every niight a very large meal in a 45 min. window.but then no clean eating i could eat two stakes or two  burgers or lot of chicken with pasta or potato,,vegetables or a salad and after that  fruit or  milkshake.But i prefer clean eating  i tried OMAD because of scedule.also try to be active  just walk a lot 90min in fast paceif do not want to try anything else
alc ,vitamin e, propolis,pde5,NAC,nsaids,olive oil massage,nsaids,aspirin,essential oils cockteils,keto,IF,green tea,coffee

Being active won’t prevent damage from glucose unfortunately.
I was active all my life and my father and grandfather. Even slightly having too many carbs makes my hands and feet burn.

I eat avocados and eggs mostly for my one meal, also meats and other veggies like cabbage and broccoli. Extra virgin coconut or olive oil.

firstly, cut out potatos, bread and bananas. i currently do OMAD. it isn't necessarily needed to achieve a ketogenic state but it makes it easier. right now i eat at night. before i eat i measure urine ketone levels, i'm normally at around 4mmol/L which is defined as a "therapeutic" state of ketosis. most people looking to adhere to the basic spectrum for dietary purposes will look to be around 1-3mmol/L.

if you adhere to a strictly ketogenic diet you have less likelihood of getting kicked out of ketosis. for me, if i eat something less keto-friendly usually i'm back into the 2-4mml/L level before my nightly refeed.

most people follow a 16:8 regimen but if we're talking about achieving a ketogenic state as a means to readjust mitochondria and other metabolic activity and pathways i would just as soon tighten these windows. the important thing is sticking to something for the long-term.

some of the things on my shopping list include:

dairy (some argue against dairy due to it's tendency to cause inflammation): cottage cheese, block cheese, plain greek yogurt, cream, butter, milk

fruit (fructose is highly digestible sugar, won't kick you out of ketosis for long if it does & berries have high fiber ratio): avacado, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries.

meat/protein/seafood: eggs, grass-fed red meats, turkey, chicken, salmon, chunk light tuna, mussels, oysters, shrimp

vegetables: cauliflower, arugula (good for muscle performance), broccoli, zucchini

there are plenty of places to find keto-friendly options just google for 10mins and find things that you like. there is a bit of a learning curve at first, but monitoring your urine ketone levels is a good metric to start with. i recommend getting some 10 parameter urine strips, these will help not only measure ketones but other metabolic factors including kidney function.

I was watching a You Tube video. The young guy did the Keto diet. Got so constipated he had to go to the emergency room where they gave him a suppository . I have been that constipated. No fun at all. Maybe take some kind of Fiber pills. Just telling you what happened to him on the Keto diet. No experience with it myself
