Hello everyone, Day 6 Post-op.  I had surgery 6 days ago for an implant from Dr. Eid. I have some pain or discomfort from time to time where the pump is in the testicles. That is normal?

Hi, yes I received a 21 cm coloplast 6 days ago. The first day, when I finished the surgery and the effect of the anesthesia was finished, it was very painful for me, I managed to control the pain a bit with painkillers. The second day was also quite painful, besides the spasms in the penis would not let me sleep. Currently I have less pain but the pain that bothers me the most is the pain in the area of the pump. When I'm standing up and walking is also painful

Congratulations! Yes pain is normal. Stay reclined and don't over do it as much as possible. Ice and heat can be your best friends. Pain gets better with time. Next round of pain will be when you start pumping but your ball sack will get used to it and it won't be painful any more either. All it takes is time buddy. Cheers.

Welcome today is Day 14 for me I get the stitches removed this morning. I'm still experiencing some occasional pain but much better the pump itself does not hurt internally for me. The doctor I had closes the incision with both glue and stitches this allowed me to take hot baths starting on day three. Check with what your doctor recommends if not hot baths yet then get heating pad and alternate with ice. It's a one day at a time process for a while but it gets a litt better every day.

Hi, I'm 28 years old, with venous leak and fibrosis in several areas since I was 20. I was close to getting the implant last year but for several reasons I could not.

I discovered this forum in FT, and seeing how many of you are patients of Dr Eid I registered. In case I did not say it, my surgery was done by Dr Eid on November 1st.
I started to ciclying the implant on day 5 (the pump is so hard) I think I am not able to pump it completely.

At what point did you begin to feel that you could walk normally and without pain? Right now I feel better than the first few days but I still feel annoying pain when I stand for a long time.

Floppynomore how has your evolution been from the first week until today?

First week I was sore almost all the time spent most of my time laying in bed with heat pad or in the tub, ice pack, heat, ice repeat. At the beginning of the second week I started walking a bit it was ok not to painful but short walks standing and sitting was tough. Hawk told me to take two small towels and roll them up tight into logs place them in a v shape with the back to your butt then sit on them with your legs to keep the weight off you scrotum.Play around with the position till you find a comfortable setup. Finding a type of underwear that was supportive and not scrunching things up has been a challenge. On the bright side I have been doing more every day and that seems to be progressing. The cycling is tough I  pump up to the max twice a day and leave it like that for 15 minutes thats about all I can stand the pain from cycling is 30% in the tips and 70% in the perineum. Of course there is also the pain in the scrotum from squeeing the pump that is by far the most lingering and most annoying. I live 5 hours from New York so today is the two week remove the stitches appointment I made it here with my local urologist he will take out the sutures. did you have to travel a long way home? did you stay in New York for a few days? We are a band of brothers here to help with encouragement and ideas of what we have found that helps. You picked the best Dr. there is anywhere to do your surgery. call on us any time .

If Dr. Eid did your surgery then the odds are in your favor.  Time and just following Doctor's orders will fix all the rest. Time and patience are your very best friends at this point.  You will experience slow progress but there comes a point about three weeks in when you almost stop following your progress unless you are making a journal to help others.  At that point, you feel good enough that you can do most things you want to do so you start thinking about other things in your life and you just continue to get better.  Before you even know it you will feel whole.  You will be able to do anything you ever did and sexually you will probably be able to do more than you ever could.

Since you are officially the youngest man on our forum with an implant we very much need you here.  Your experience will inform thousands of others.  MANY young men, both members, and guests have great concerns and need you to share your experience.  Unlike other forums, we will make sure your posts are not buried from view if you post regularly in a journal.  It can be brief but please make regular updates.

Floppynomore I was in New York for 6 days and then I took a plane to return home, it was a long trip, but the most annoying was to walk after landing.

You guys use the jockstraps? Dr Eid told me that I should take it 14 days, but that is quite annoying. What is the reason for using it? Is it not possible to wear a tight underwear to keep it pointing up when sleeping instead of the jockstrap?

The jock strap is the worst f...ing thing it is painful I tried for a few days as soon as I was. Cycling  I threw it away tight underwear and as long as your cycling it's ok according to the Doctor

anything that keeps it up. Underwear, sweat pants. If you can get away with it nearly naked helps with the comfort level the first few days.  Kramer sent me home in an Xtra large jock strap. A good one, not that cheap ass string bikini Vanderbilt used. I wear mediums usually. It had very wide waist band and was loose enough be comfortable but just snug enough to hold it up. Gave it to a friend later. He said this thing is HUGE, but it did the job.  Cheers.

Hi guys,an update day 24 post op

The pain of my scrotum has been reduced almost to the minimum, and is barely noticeable. But what is worrying me now is that I'm having a lot of sweat when I sleep (at night). I don't have  fever, if maybe a few tenths (36.7 ° C 36.8 °C) that would be if I calculate correctly 98.4 F. Should I be worried? I read Merrix's post and he seemed to have something similar for a month after the surgery

I going to mention that I recall Merrill having a similar experience.  Dr. Eid explained to me during my concerns (we all have them) that the first sign of an infection is a change in how the pump feels.  You can no longer feel the details of the pump.  Increased pain is also common. General fever and body-wide symptoms are very late symptoms so I doubt this has any association with infection or even the implant in general.

Have you had sex yet and Is your size as he promised you yet.

I can feel all the components of the pump well and they are loose and are easy to distinguish. The pain is minimal,the pain in the scrotum is almost unnoticeable now,  the only thing that bothers me are the sweats when sleeping and the sensation of a little weakness.

No I didn't have sex yet because I'm waiting to see if the problem of sweating when sleeping improves and not risking things. On the measures I haven't taken measurements for almost two weeks but at that time they were close to what was promised and when I see it inflated now it seems to be similar to my pre op erection.

Actually now I'm just worried that the problem of nightly sweating is not something serious.

I am sure it is unrelated to the implant but it would be good to hear that from Dr Eid.  He is VERY responsive to patients, more so than any doctor I have ever even heard of.  Why don't you call him or at least send a text.  He will respond even if it is the weekend.

I have had periods in my life where I have gone through night sweats and never got any conclusive explaination as to why and they just cleared up.  I think you should contact Dr. Eid however and then maybe your family doctor.

Day 27 Post-Op

Got an answer from Dr Eid, he told me that night sweats are common with antibiotics and steroids medications. Not a sign of infection. Swelling, redness, tethering, and pain at the pump are signs of infection, he told me that a dangerous temperature or temperature which can indicate fever would be higher than 102 F (38,8 C) I am -always between 36,6-37 C. (98-98,6 F)

About my weak and fatigue, he says it's normal to be tired and weak. You had a surgery and it takes a while before you will feel like yourself again. It takes most men 2 to 3 months to feel like they never had any surgery.

Anyway, I went to the hospital and I got a blood test to check the things.  Apparently, everything is ok except I have a virus, I got positive in mononucleosis, which would explain my symptoms, but the other things are ok so I expect this virus is the reason of my weak and the things with the implant are ok.

That is good news.  I felt pretty sure this had nothing to do with the implant.  Mono can definitely kick your butt.  Hopefully, you will be able to knock that out soon.

Yeah Doctor said me mononucleosis can affect me for two months  

Another thing that worries me is that the other day I masturbated for the first time since the operation and it was like painful or burning when ejaculating. Did someone experience something similar? strangely when I pee I do not feel any pain or itching
