Curvature appeared in early 2015 which was diagnosed by my GP who referred to the urology department at Addenbrooks Hospital Cambridge. Suggested a Nesbit operation to physically reduce the long side of the curve. Alternative of Xiapex injections discussed and opted for that at the London Andrology Centre. After initial examination by Mr David Ralph my care management and injections were undertaken by Dr Raheem.
The process starts with an ultra sound assessment where for me a 70 degree curve was measured after a clinical erection. The curve was near the base of the Penis and intercourse was not possible. I have has 7 treatments since late 2015 broadly at monthly intervals. You are also provided with a vacuum pump that creates an erection and pulls blood through the softened hard tissue. An assessment is made after each course of 3 injections plague. After 3 injections the curve had reduced to 55 degrees and after 6 injections to 45 degrees. it also starts much higher up the penis. Intercourse in now possible and comfortable.

Thanks for posting your experience. We have heard some good things about Dr. Ralph in the UK. Happy to hear of your improvements.

I'm writing after the 7th Xiapex injection. There is continued improvement the important thing is that the curve continues to start after more straight length in the shaft. I can't say what the degree of the curve is but it also appears to be less. I think it's important to use the vacuum pump every day, this is pulling blood through the hard tissue. Another factor that is noticeable is that the erections are harder, Dr Raheem, who is treating me, says this is due to better blood flow in the area where the obstruction has been removed.
After the treatment you can expect some bruising and swelling this does not cause discomfort in daily activity.
Good luck to other patients !
