Can't tell if I have Peyronies or not.

Hi there, this my first post here and am rather worried. I'm 18 years old, and have sever health anxiety and general anxiety disorder, so when it comes to medical problems I get very very nervous. I've just come out of a phase of anxiety where I thought I had a detached retina, ALS and MS, it's exhausting trying to cope with this and I'm sure from what I've heard about Peyronies it is for you guys.

Recently I've noticed that when flaccid my penis curves to the left and I have a soft white lump on the right side of my penis, the curvature of my penis goes to the left if this helps at all. When erect I don't have any type of curvature from what I can tell (I noticed this lump yesterday and haven't had an erection since, mainly because I'm severely anxious right now I think). Do any of you know whether this could be the onset of Peyronies at all? I'm a virgin who used to masturbate on a daily or every other day basis up until 4 weeks ago when my health anxiety relapsed and I felt rather depressed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. For further information, I'm circumcised and live in the UK.

It sounds unlikely that you have peyronies, but you do need to see your doctor and tell him/her of your problem.

Thanks for the response, put my mind slightly at ease. I intend to get a doctors appointment booked, but unfortunately the waiting list for GPs is around 2 weeks these days in the UK. The "lump" when I grab it feels no different to the rest of the skin on my penis, it's just of a different colour.

Thanks again for the reply.

I also agree. Generally Peyronies is defined as a sudden curvature when erect. A curve when flaccid is not unusual. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I would encourage you not to worry about this.

I just noticed this morning a slight curve to the left away from the white lump when erect but no pain, could this be the way I've masturbated for the past 5 years? I'll tell my Dad about the situation and get an appointment booked with my GP.

Thanks again for the replies.

Managed to get a same day appointment with my gp, went in, he had a good look at it and told me everything seemed fine and that at my age penis' (no idea what the plural is) can change and curve. He told me to comeback around Easter time for a follow up appointment and if anything changes go and see him.

While I'm still anxious I feel a lot better now my gp has given his opinion. He also told me to stop consulting Dr Google, which is probably the best piece of advice he could have given me.

Proposing you to see an urologist, better a Peyronies specialist.

I try to trust what my GP says, mainly because it puts my mind at ease when my doctor tells me there is nothing to worry about. If it does change for whatever reason I'll go into see him and I'll probably get referred to a urologist.

If he thought there was anything up I assume he would have said something, well I hope so anyway. He said the tissue could easily just be tissue build up but doesn't seem to be anything serious, he said with Peyronies the disease tends to show in a plaque whereas this tissue is the same as the rest of my Pinole tissue. Erectile function is normal right now too which I'm happy about.
