This is my first post.  I have no medical diagnosis of my condition but following bowel surgery I started to notice it was uncomfortable having sex and I slowly became aware that my penis had become bent, and quite a bit shorter.  My urologist who sees me mainly to check on on my prostate hasn't raised the term nor offered any advice apart from prescribing vitamin E.  My GP hasn't any idea of what my options are nor have any of the surgical staff who monitor my cancer recovery, suggested anything.  It seems a bit of a taboo subject in my experience. I plan to peruse this site and learn.  Thank for hosting me

This sounds confusing. You say your Urologist has prescribed Vit E. But has said nothing. This suggests to me that he quite possibly suspects Peyronie's. My advice would be to ask him flat out if that's the case.

You will probably need an ultrasound to establish if there is plaque and the extent of it. If it is Peyronie's you need far more sophisticated and modern treatment than Vit E. That's from the dark ages of treatments for Peyronie's!

Read all you can here before returning to him. Don't be afraid to ask questions. If you don't like the answers, find another Uro.

I will repeat what I have written many times before.
The world is full with incompetent doctors, especially whit regard to Peyronies.
Proposing you to read:
Peyronies Survival Guide - Information for New Members - Peyronies Society Forums
and treatment boards to get much knowledge as you can.
You should ask your urologist:
Quoteflat out if that's the case.
You need an ultrasound to see if you have developed a plaque and to start treatment earlier as possible.
VED, Pentox, low dose Cialis and Ubiquinol (CoQ10 if you are younger than 40)
