Introducing myself -- not sure this is peyronie's

I'm 37. I have seen three urologists and two sex medicine specialists. I've had two ultrasounds, one with an induced erection, the other without an erection. Both ultrasounds came back negative for scar tissue or plaques, so maybe this isn't Peyronies Disease? My doctors say it isn't, at least there's no evidence according to them.

I've been having symptoms for almost 7 weeks.

The story: About 7 weeks ago I was fooling around with a girl and received an injury, but it's not the usual break. She was rubbing my penis back and forth against her clit, really mashing the head against her as if it was a sex toy of some sort. It hurt at the time but felt okay afterward, then two days later I started having tingling in the head of my penis, then pain just under the head where she'd applied the most pressure.

I tried masturbating shortly thereafter but the erection hurt and the orgasm was uncomfortable and my penis looked shorter by an inch. There also seemed to be a pronounced dimple on the top side of my penis, below the head. That's around the time my erections stopped for the most part, besides really sad quarter-erections at night occasionally. Freakier still, my flaccid penis seemed markedly smaller (it made me think of "I was in the pool!" the shrinkage episode on Seinfeld) and sometimes often very cold, as if it lacked bloodflow.

The pain worsened to the point where sleep was difficult but that has since gotten a lot better, though it's still there off and on. When the erection was induced for the first ultrasound, it was the first time in six weeks I'd seen my erection. It looked much more curved to the left to me. (It also hangs to the left now when flaccid which I'd never noticed before.) I was surprised that the indentation wasn't pronounced at all during the induced erection. I swear it was there but I was glad to see it was gone.

So the doc was telling me the ultrasound was fine and I was telling the doc I thought my penis was much more curved to the left than I'd ever seen it. But he was telling me no scar tissue, so maybe it's all in my head?

To complicate matters, apart from pain at the injury site, I've also had perineum pain and pain at the base of my penis. This made one of the sex medicine docs think of prostatitis. I took bactrim for 3 days and then stopped because of itchiness and mild hives. During those three days, I had a successful erection and orgasm and I did seem to have less pain. Though the erection still looks more curved than before, I couldn't see dimpling. There was no pain on orgasm though slight pain at injury site afterward. Length seemed to be mostly normal, maybe slightly shorter.

My flaccid penis seemed to be more of a normal size, as if bloodflow had returned. Now that I've stopped the bactrim, I haven't had an erection again. Flaccid size seems mostly better but still, why is it hanging to the left now? Sometimes it even looks like it hooks to the left. Flaccid still gets cold sometimes.

Touching the injury site today because I was having pain again, I thought I felt something kinda hard under the skin but it's very minor. I hesitate to call it a bump. It's pretty much where the divot was. It may just be a vein I've never noticed before.

So I've been taking ubiquinol for about 4-5 weeks daily, just to be on the safe side.

My last ultrasound was a week ago. Is it possible that scar tissue is developing after having the ultrasound? I guess it's also possible that I have bacterial prostatitis or something like that. Or both prostatitis and an injury that's still healing?

Apart from the lack of erections and the pain and the seeming greater curve to the left, I'm comforted by the two negative ultrasounds and the fact 3 days ago I had what appeared to be a mostly normal erection.

I'm not in a relationship. I'm a bit freaked out by all of this as you may be able to tell from the many doctors I've insisted on seeing in a short space of time. In fact, I am seeing yet another sex medicine/men's health specialist this coming week, who I hope will be more of talker than the past two sex medicine docs I've seen who were frankly dickwads who didn't want to have ANY conversation at all. It's a reputable private practice (the other guys were at reputable hospitals) so I'm encouraged by that.

Thanks for reading this small novel.

I see similarities to my own case which started in March last year. Back then I had pain right after a sex session with my then girlfriend. Pain was so bad I went to urologists twice, ultrasound nothing. Pain lasted a few weeks then ok again.
Fast forward to June I woke up with hard flaccid what you also describe.. like much smaller hardened penis.
Pain at the base and some perineum pain. I went to so many urologist at this time I can't even remember them all.
Ultrasounds negative etc.. Then some clever doc had the idea of prescribing antibiotics.. Could be prostatitis, could be cavernitis.. they just didn't know. So I took the Cipro for 3 days then quit because of side effects. But: pain and hard flaccid gone for a few days, thought I was healed. Then it was right back and worse then before.
The Cipro probably got the Peyronie's really started based on what follows next (although this is Post hoc ergo propter hoc, I heard similar stories and a connection seems plausible).
This was August. Had continual ultrasounds, 3 MRI's.... In October the first plaque were found on the dorsal side.. very tiny.
In November I could palpate another plaque in the septum. The Peyronie specialist diagnosed me.

So.. long story short: You probably have Peyronie's. Pain / hard flaccid / curve is probably caused by inflammation.
Either you wait for plaque to show up or do something now! I would recommend you immediately start with Potaba 12 g daily, Cialis 2.5 mg, Pentox 3x400 mg daily and hope and pray it stops the inflammation and prevents scar tissue from forming.
I wish someone had told me this advice back in March....

to the OP,

I'm having a hard time clearly understanding your symptoms. I'm also not convinced an ultra sound always shows Peyronies, or at least I'm quite sure that a true Peyronies specialist may be the only person who can really tell you if you have scar tissue. That being said, you may not have Peyronies, but the only other thing I can think of effecting you like this would be some kind of lymph or vein problem. Both of which would hopefully resolve if you gave yourself a long break from stimulation. It sounds like you have been avoiding erections, so I'm not too sure what to suggest : /

I also have slight pain in the glans, but I think it's from a damaged lymphatic vessel. In the case of lymph problems, it takes a very long time of no stimulation for it to heal from what I read. (weeks and weeks).

The perineal pain is an enigma to me, since I've had it for a while but no longer believe it to be prostatitis.
I think its scar tissue down there from biking as a kid, or possibly lymph or vein thrombosis.

Have you tried hot baths or ice? In the case of penile fractures that are not deemed surgery worthy, urologists sometimes send patients home and instruct them to ice the area. If you have damage to the penis, I would advise anyone to ice the area and not allow any kind of erection for a long time.

I really hope that the new specialist helps, but do keep in mind a peyronies specialist is a completely separate thing!

I agree with emasculated.
It may be prostatitis but if it is Peyronies, you have to treat it now, not later.
My opinion is VED, Pentox, 2.5 mg Cialis daily.
By the way, some members are sure they Peyronies started after taking anti inflammatory or antibiotics.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm hoping I didn't do further damage taking the bactrim. I have to say I was aware of Cipro possibly being correlated to Peyronies Disease so I deliebrately waited till after the negative ultrasounds to try antibiotics and opted for bactrim which seems to have little correlation. Obviously, I'm going to be forever pissed at myself if Bactrim ends up playing some part in my developing Peyronies Disease... but again, I haven't read anything similar to Cipro. Also, if it IS say bacterial prostatitis, doesn't that mean I would need to take an antibiotic of some sort anyway? Seems like a no win situation.

So I seem to be getting opposite advice. One suggestion is stop all activity, and the other is to take cialis, pentox, and VED which ensures I GET erections and bloodflow to that area, right?

Also, I'm not sure what specialist to go to other than a men's health/sexual medicine specialist. I live in a city renowned for its docs and hospitals and the only "peyronie's specialists" I found are the sex medicine docs I've seen, and Peyronies Disease is listed as one of many things they specialize in. So... I'm not sure who else I'd be seeing besides this kind of specialist. Not trying to be difficult, I just really don't know. All of my "peyronie's specialist" searches led me to these docs.

Thanks for the feedback. It's appreciated.
