Hi guys
New to the forum!. Just on day 2 post op Nesbitts procedure. Everything still swollen at the moment so not sure what works or not yet ;). I had a 60degree bend and there was a doubt about proceeding but the surgeon and I agreed to go ahead and he said all went well with a satisfactory insufflation afterwards so time will tell.....

Hi Nebula2

Welcome to the forum and wish you fast recovery and good results from the surgery.
Can you give us some more details? Like it was Congenital or Peyronies bend, if you have ED also, who is the doctor etc'?

James

Hi James
No my Peyronies Disease was not congenital,it developed over about 2yrs. Too early to say about the ED side of things yet!. I`m sure I discussed having a circumcision at the same time with the surgeon but when the dressing came off nope! foreskin still there...whatever!. Looks like I`ve lost about 20mm in length but a bit swollen to tell at the mo. I was told previously that Peyronies Disease can occur following damage to the penis but I`m not aware of any.
A couple of years ago I had an op to cure a problem called `Trigger finger` where my little finger kept locking when bent at 90 degrees and last week at a pre op interview with a staff nurse suggested that these might be linked so maybe something genetic going on there?. My surgeon over here in the UK was a Mr Hilmy.

Steve

It is highly likely that your finger problem is related to the penis problem. Look up Dupuytrens Contracture ( you might ck my spelling). It affects the chords in your hand and causes curly fingers. I have the precursor to it myself; knots in my palm. The two are evil cousins. Trauma to the penis can cause Peyronies Disease, but so can lots of other things. I had no trauma. Heredity, medications, lifestyle, all can combine to cause it. I wish you luck with your surgery. Ouch! Heck of a thing to have to get cut on! I will be curious about your thoughts after you heal. Please keep us updated.
Plication Surgery Dec. 2013. Straight Again!

I understand.
You have made some treatment before the surgery? I mean the doctor put you on some medications before?
Let us know how you are recovering. How much you lost you can know after you can use your tool again ;D
Again, wish you fast recovery and good results.

I am two weeks post plication surgery.  Four weeks to go!  Fortunately for me, my Dupuytrens cord does not require treatment.

Why don't you join us on the surgery\plication board?
