Hi guys,

Finally plucked up the courage 2 do this so here goes.

I'm 35 years old, well this coming wednesday that is!  I was diagnosed with peyronie's in November 2011 by an Urologist.  His response, like d one many others on here received was 'there's nothing that can b done right now, we'll have 2 leave it 4 a year r possibly 2 to see if it corrects itself.  Upon waiting, his next recommendation would b 2 induce an erection 2 see fully d effects of my peyronie's as he said it didnt appear that bad! I foolishly accepted that and took his advice.  I realise now from finding this forum how important it is 2 take action straight away.

To rewind back a bit...my symptoms begin about May 2011 when I noticed that penetration became slightly painful, nothing 2 alarming 2 start wit, jus like a stinging sensation. Then as the months went on I realised that d pain caused me 2 lose d hardness of my erections during sex. To be honest I didn't pay 2 much attention 2 this as it wasn't really bothering me that much.  The main reason 4 this is because I was also having back trouble - later (August 2011) 2 b diagnosed with a herniated disk. It was then that I noticed d bend n could feel a small lump on d right dorsal side of my shaft.  My penis always had a natural lean to d left but this bend turned upwards.  I'm not sure wot degree but if I had 2 guess I'd say 45.

With regard to an injury, The only thing i can think off is that had sex whilst drunk about 2 years previously n awoke d following morning 2 discover that my penis was black n blue on both sides.  I remember one side was really bruised but not sure now which side that was. (could it really lie dormand that long?)

The left side where it bends upwards does not feel scarred or hardened in any way but maybe it's just not noticeable from feeling it - could this be right? Could it be scarred internally and I just wouldn't feel it?

Up to now my herniated disk has kind of taking over my life as it is extremely painful to get about & going on my Uro's advice, I was waiting to see if my peyronie's would heel itself but of course it hasn't!

I have recently started to take ALC (1 month ago) n can notice that my erections r staying harder than b4 but I usually need some visual stimulation.  Natural Nighttime n morning erections r slowly reappearing, not very hard but they r returning which is something.

I am having surgery on my disk in 4 weeks time and intend to take L-Arg n Q10 once that is done wit as I have read that you need to come off these 2 weeks prior 2 surgery anyway.  I also intend to try d VED but I am very corcerned about this as I am afraid I may make my peyronie's worse - any advice much appreciated.

I would also love to try d PAV/PAC cocktail but being from Ireland and going by my 1st Uro's advice I am worried that I won't find one that will prescribe it to me.  Is there anyone from Ireland here that could recommend a good Uro?  I know der is an Uro on Harley St in London who might prescribe it to me but would this work wit me being from a different country?

Finally, just to mention that I haven't had any pain in about 5 months but this is based solely on masturbation.  My bend also appears to be d same as when I 1st noticed it in August 2011.

Is there anything I should be doing whilst I wait for my surgery n before I can start taking d other supplements?  Any help/guidance is very much appreciated.

I would like to thank everyone involved in this forum as I truly believe you are saving lives because God (and everyone here) knows this decease is extremely hard to live/deal with!

Le gra mor,

Paul

Welcome to the forum
First I wish you good luck with the disk surgery and pray for you that it will be successfull.
Regarding treatment, the way you have started sounds good to me, many on the forum in your situation are taking Acetyl L-Carnitine, L-Arginine, CoQ10 (or Ubiquinol), low dose Cialis and the most important Pentox.
Most of the list should stop taking one or two weeks before surgery, per the doctor advice.
Regarding VED, can't make any damage if doing it carefully, stop pumping with the smallest discomfort.
It is also encouraging that the bent had not progressed and the pain stopped, the treatment will ensure hopefully that the bend will not progress and will regress.

You will not see by eye the benefits from CoQ10, but is a very helpful supplement for general health.
As you are more than 40, most benefits you will get from Ubiquinol. More expensive, worth trying.
Regarding ALC, it is one of the very few supplements/medications that have some evidence that helps softening scar tissue and straitening the penis.
