So.    I've been a creeper or whatever they call it on this website for the past 6months or so.    Learned a lot from reading everyone's stories just didn't have the guts to register. Till now.   51 yrs old up in the great white north ( Canada)    Got some major deformities going on.   Hourglassing and major curve with a lot of lossed length in my unit. I've been to one doc that done a few different injections and shockwave therapy but it did not work for me.   Possibly created another lump so now I think I am looking at an implant but we will see what doc says first.     I'm glad I found this forum as now I know it's not just me with this condition

Welcome Bentmb to the forum and thanks for filling out your signature line. Please feel free to download our survival guide -->Survival Guide . This will give you a better understanding about peyronies and it's different treatments.

You don't have to be shy or ashamed in this forum because we have all been down about the same road with problems regarding our penises and it is called peyronies. As you have probably read here is that shockwave therapy only puts $$ into the Dr's pocket and does nothing for correcting peyronies.

Have you tries traction therapy with the Restorex and PenimasterPro? There is also VED therapy that also does help. Are your erections ok because Cialis can help with that and also help heal your penis from inflammation. There are so many things you can try and in time see if it will help. Many urologists are just not educated in regards to treating peyronies. How is your Dr in this regard?

Getting an implant is usually after you have exhausted all other forms of treatment. I did not say it was a last resort though. We have a lot of success stories about getting an implant as you have probably read. The most important part of an implant is going to the correct Dr to do it. How many implants do they do a year? How many have they done in their lifetime? Success rates and will they let you talk to their other patients? On the forum here we are very fortunate to have Dr Reid from New York. He in my opinion is the only  Dr I would choose to perform this operation. He is highly skilled and successful and does a lot of implants. He is also a very kind and caring human being. If you have the means to do so I would suggest getting in touch with him.
  Welcome again.. :)

Thanks Mike.      I have the same opinion about the shockwave therapy.    Did not do a thing for me.   Nor did the injections but caused a lot of discomfort and possibly a new lump.   Dr did give me a restorex and after using for a month I believe the bend is definitely better, but the shortening and the hourglass effect is quite bad.  I have played around with cialis and viagra and I can get a somewhat useable erection.   Just the tip ( maybe 2 inches ) doesn't get as hard as it should.  Bendable by touch and very indented.  The doc I was going to I just don't trust.   Seems like he wanting more money all the time and he seems to be at a loss of the next step.   I'm now trying to get into another doc that has a bit of a waiting period for an appointment, which means he is busy so hoping that's a good sign      Reading up on the survival guide now

It sounds like you are approaching this with wisdom. Yes by all means get into a new Dr and make a list of questions for him/her. Keep on with traction therapy and using Cialis. This is a marathon and not a sprint. Get your mind into that type of thinking. Over time you can regain back a lot of your lost length and girth.
