Hi friends!

I am 56 years old. I would like to know if it is common there is a great decrease in your testosterone levels when you are in your middle fifties or beginning sixties? In my case I have a low bend or curvature having to do with Peyronie's but I deem I could have a problem with testosterone as well. Should I check my testosterone levels before taking ALCAR? I have ordered ALCAR for the first time.

Do you deem that ALCAR can help in erectile dysfunction due to lack of testosterone or other problems?

Thanks in advance!

Joe

I think some decrease is expected. Not sure what you mean by a "large decrease"

Hello!

Yes a decrease is common but you should have your levels checked just in case. You can ask a doctor for a full testosterone panel and that will help him or her guide you in the right direction when it comes to treatment.

Are you taking any other ED meds? Cialis? Viagra?

Hi Pfract!

Thank you LWillisJr and Pfract for your replies.

No I am not taking anything in this case Cialis or Viagra. I don't know if it is due to my Peyronie's curvature (I don't have a very remarkable one, about 20 or 25 degrees one) or to another factor but I sometimes have erectile dysfunction. I was taking tribulus but as my arterial tension went down and cause me hypotension I didn't take it any longer. I think I could have low testosterone levels because I have also bad memory and I am overweight. As I have a health ensurance company I am going to call tomorrow.

I feel a bit depressed and anxiety mainly for my wife.

Best wishes

Joe

It's pretty common for testosterone levels to drop as you get older, especially in your fifties and sixties. I've experienced something similar myself and found it helpful to get my levels checked. It's a good idea to do that before starting any new supplement like ALCAR, just to make sure you're addressing the right issue.

From my experience, ALCAR can be beneficial for energy and cognitive function, but it might not directly address erectile dysfunction if it's related to testosterone. I've used https://fitnflexed.com for other supplements that helped with overall wellness and found it useful. Maybe talk to your doctor about a comprehensive plan to tackle both testosterone levels and any specific issues like Peyronie's.

I have been on full testosterone replacement for 20 years now. There are not a lot of Dr's who are educated and experienced to administer this kind of treatment for their male patients. And then they don't have a clue as to what tests to order and watch closely. Have you taken the Adam questionnaire? Levels do drop slowly as we age but
mind you that low testosterone levels can be associated with developing peyronies. You need a Dr that is educated and just doesn't look at numbers. They should subjectively question you as the patient as to how you feel, look, muscle size etc.... I fooled around with about 5 Dr's, 2 which were endocrinologists, until I found a Dr who was versed and educated in male hormones.
