Hi everyone, thanks for hearing me out.

Here's how my story goes. I am 33 years old, and have been sexualy active for a very long time. Two weeks ago I randomly discovered a lump inside my penile shaft while being flaccid. It feels hard on palpation, its shape is spherical like a pea with a diameter of around 10-15mm or so. It is located deep inside the shaft right in the middle of it. At first I assumed the worst as I've lost my father from cancer. Two days ago I was examined by a urologist, who palpated the area, and by his assistant, who performed an ultrasound. The doctor suggested Peyronie's. As far as I understood the lump is located on the inner part of tunica albuginea in between of the three corpuses, at the septum, hence I was told it might not result in bending. I told the doctor that I recall experiencing acute pain during intercourse one month ago (I'll describe the incident in due course), but he didn't change his diagnosis, leaving me in doubts. I am confused because Peyronie's can be caused by penile trauma, but is it possible for a penile trauma not to result in Peyronie's? The doctor did not prescribe any medication as he suggested there's no scientific evidence that they work. He also encouraged me to continue intercourse so long as it's not painful. The bottom line was to wait for the acute phase to pass and come back in a year if things are worse. I will see another urologist for a second opinion. The prolonged uncertainty is wearing me out.

Clinical image:
- No symptoms for the first two weeks after the incident (went unnoticed)
- Lump found on the third week, no pain associated with the trauma
- Forth week: mild pain upon erection in the mornings; painful intercourse (when penetrating); no noticable pain when masturbating; occasional irritation when flaccid; no bending upon erection, but noticable swelling around the lump

Now in regards to the sexual incident; it happened a few times in a span of a month or so when I was having intercouse with a girl I've been seeing. I was penetrating her in doggy position, and because I was getting too deep (my penis is fairly big in case it matters in this context) it was being painful for her, and so she bent her pelvis to prevent me from going too deep while I was thrusting. As a result I hurt myself against her pelvic bone. The pain was momentarily acute and I stopped. Then it almost immediately went away and we continued.

Kind regards

Hi Houston,
I hope you don't mind a welcome from the wife of a Peyronie's patient. WELCOME to the Forum! This is a great group and they will help you through anything, just ask. Myself included. Maybe the guys will jump in and give you their thoughts soon.

Going back to your accident, I would say your symptoms align with Peyronie's disease pretty closely from my knowledge. You are correct that you can have an injury and not develop Peyronie's. Hoever,  since you did have an injury and are now feeling week 3 and 4 effects does lead one to consider it as a diagnosis. Some men never remember an accident or pain and end up with Peyronie's. My hubs is one of those men.
I would suggest getting the second opinion as soon as you can, IF you are still in doubt of the diagnosis. Then you can begin the supplements and vacuum device to preserve size if it is Peyronie's.

I can't tell you not to stress or worry but I can tell you that we are all here to help you on your path.

Welcome Houston to the forum. I can agree with what Boykinlady has stated - good sound advice.  You may or may not have peyronies as time will tell.  I would definitely seek out another Dr though , hopefully one that is more educated regarding peyronies.  Read the survival guide and educate yourself on the various treatments.
