Hi everyone!

First of all I want to thank you, the moderators and administrators for providing this (very helpful) Forum and to all the members for sharing those sensitive but vital information with other patients.

I am going to keep this post relativly short, I am planning to make another one in the History Board where I will add some other details.

I am 33 years old and I am living with Peyronies for around 2 years now. At first I didn´t notice any curvature or plaques, just some veins down there that I hadn´t seen before, they were thickened and noticably darker. Also there was a slight pain. Since I was already seeing an urologist for another reason (varicocele - but more about that in the history thread) I asked him about that, since I was worried.

I was very lucky with my urologist, he recognized it for what it was and sent me to a hospital where a doctor specialized in Peyronies is practising to make sure. He took a long time to listen to my explantions, examined me (by hand and also with ultrasonic) and noticed two bigger plaques.

He prescribed me Potaba Glenwood 3g, fortunatly I tolerated it well (I´ve read that many people are suffering from heavy side effects). I took it for about 9 months and I am not sure if it realy did anything, but I am also not sure if it helped to halt the curvature and the spreading of the plaque - since it didn´t harm me, I guess that it helped me.

He also prescribed me Tadafil 5mg. At first I wasn´t too keen to take it to be honest, it was working too well and sometimes that was very embarrasing.

At the time of my first appointment at my urologist there wasn´t a big curvature, but that developed a little while after my first appointment at the hospital. The curvature is noticable, but not all too severe - about 25-30 degree. At first I thought that I was lucky that it wasn´t any bigger (and I am) but still it is something that I keep thinking about, it isn´t that easy to take as I first believed when I´ve got my diagnosis.

The pain is noticable, but bearable, it is stronger after an errection and very strong after a (nightly or otherwise) ejaculation. Sometimes there is a random pain during the day, but not all too strong.

At my last checkup (last week) the doctor gave me the good news that the plaques hadn´t grown and the curvature was stable. He suggested that I start a VED therapy with the Primus Med device (one cylinder). I started today and hope that it will help :D.

As I said, I should consider myself lucky that the curvature is only 25-30 degree, but it weights heavier on me than I first thought. It is not realy depressing in my case, just disapointing and worrying.

I am not in a realtionship right now (somehow I guess fortunatly, since I guess I wouldn´t be a great partner right now), but peyronies is still casting a shadow into the future - how and when am I going to tell a woman about it, how am I going to explain it? I know that penetration isn´t anything in a relationship and with my curvature there shouldn´t be any extreme problems and best case scenario she isn´t worried at all, but it is something that she should know before a serious relationship develops - I have to be honest about it right from the start and give her the choice if she is willing to deal with it, but I guess there are better topics to talk about on a first date.

But right now I am not looking for a relationship, first I have to stabilise physically and mentally. I have to realise and accept the disease as what it is, that it is to stay with me and I have to stay optimistic and grateful that it isn´t any more severe.

So, that was a realy big wall of text, sorry for that, but somehow it felt good to write it all down.

So I am going to summarize:
- 2 years of peyronies
- 25-30 degree curvature
- slight pain, especially after errection/ejaculation
- 9 months of Potaba 3g
- Tadafil (ongoing)
- no relationship right now
- somehow gratefull that it is only 25-30, but also still worried and somehow unhappy

I am going to go into even more detail in the history board.

Thank you for your attention!

Have a nice weekend and stay strong!
Age 33 - 2 Years of Peyronies - Potaba (for 9 months, finished) - Tadafil 5 mg (ongoing) - Primus Med VED (just started)
