Hey everyone,

Looking for advice and options oral or trans-dermal to help with my case. History is below.

My first plaque started in Sept 2019 randomly with no known MOI on the proximal base of my left shaft just next to urethra. Pea size and circular. Went to Urologist with his explanation being something to do with Buck's Fascia. I was told to "play the waiting game" and his initial write up was inflammatory but unsure if true Peyronie's. He said I probably rolled on an erection. which I doubt and I hadn't been having any rough sex.

I did my own research on the pathomechanics of this disorder and started Vit E ( a-tocopheral plant based NOT synthetic 267mg x3/daily) from literature review. A month later found more literature and started trials of CoQ10 (100mg x3/daily), propolis (900mg daily), blueberries(roughly a cup), Acetyl L-Carnitine HCL (1g x2/daily) and Vitamin C (10-16g {2g roughly every 45 min} /daily for the most part). After a handful of months of seemingly slow plaque progression, the node expanded a little, then formed a C shape, then split in two smallish plaques and then the indentation started with a mild bend and minor twist to the left. But still able to straighten for masturbation. I did occasional inconsistent gentle sustained Massage and gentle stretches during erection with castor oil with some heat after. Started eating an anti-inflammatory diet with raw foods, salads, pineapple (1/4 of a raw pineapple / day).  6 mo in I did another follow up with the Uro. He gave me an algorithm sheet that discussed how they go about handling Peyronies Disease. He said my case was at a standstill and would not benefit from surgery or Xiaflex due to the mild state and expressed there was potential issues from damaged tissue with Xiaflex bc they inject and bend to break it up. He said the tissue feels firm and stabilized and this may be around forever. At about 8mo, with continued of all the above, plus added self-work for stress and confidence, the plaque seemed to diminish by 40-50% with one firm little plaque and a feeling of subsiding surrounding it.

THEN on the start of May 2020 I felt another nodule/plaque on the distal right of my shaft closer to the surface. WTF. and I wasn't doing any rigorous masterbation. Just did some every so often with castor oil to get into the tissues. but nothing that indicated immediate pain or that would be considered damaging to the tissue. So currently I started back up the previous oral dosages, altered the Vit E to lessen dose and include some Tocotrienols in the mix. I started L-argenine (1g x 2/ daily), Organic Nascient Iodine (640mcg{one drop} x1/daily in my coffee) along with placing a drop on the node and mix with castor oil and place a cotton ball over it gently wrap with pre-wrap and go to bed. I started Iodine after reading about the deficiency USA has and my diet has little to none. I've been doing that with castor oil for a couple months and with the Iodine for about a few weeks. so far, slow growth of distal node, decreased tightness from initial, full straight erection.

I'm not sure if micro-trauma was the cause of this. I'm thinking a deficiency in something, an underlying subconscious stress causing the tissue to manifest it's behavior based on the movement of the first plaque. But I cant see me having to be extra fragile for my penis and worry about not getting erections in my pants worrying a micro tear might happen

Questions:

During the 18 mo progression (acute to chronic),What is the standard rate of Peyronies Disease progression? Like what time frame is the plaque at its peak during the 18 mo? Does the bend start to happen immediately, in a month or 3 months? If there is little to no bend after 6 months, is that a good sign of peak growth? I'm looking to see where I stand in terms of Peyronies Disease.

Thank you for anyone who reads this and has some advice or help to offer.

Update 8/30/20

Above plaques still stable with no noticed quick growth. Today felt a tiny new plaque at the deep proximal right shaft. Next to the urethra. its confusing sense I have changed my diet to mainly nonstarch veggies, occasional intermittent fasting, little to no sugar, added 2g L-arginine and have been applying a gentle DMSO gel with iodine most days for the past couple months. My condition doesnt seem to be brought on by trauma since sex is slow and hand is used to help insert to avoid deep bends. Possible diet continuation, lack of exercise.
32 yo. Unknown cause. 1st plaque proximal left base near pelvis 9/19. Expanded and shrunk after 8 mo by 50% (still working on it). Minor bend but malleable. 2nd small plaque 5/20 superficial distal right just under tip. Currently growing. No bend.

You ask good questions but not so easy to answer. The progression can be 12-18 months. 18 months is not a given. For some it happens sooner, for some later. So to say where are you at a certain point and then to predict where you will end up is not really possible. My advice has always been to document your journey, take pictures and measurements and track your progression.

Thank you for your response. I understand what you are saying. Definitely a mystery. Will be tracking journey for sure!

Welcome to the forum.

Be sure you read this carefully more than once. https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3180.0.html

Medical literature and my experience here for 15 years does not seem to indicate there is any standard rate or period of development   Every case is different.  Some have one event.  Some become stable then have recurring events of inflammation at seemingly random periods in their lives.  Sometime men indicate they never become stable.
