I am 62 and have a 25 degree bend to the right. I first noticed this about 6 months ago - it was just there !!! and plucked up courage to tell my usual doctor (about 3 months ago) who said that it would be peyronies.
My bend seems to be stable - so I have a wait and see attitude as sex is still fine.
I am taking a photo every month (with the help of my wife) in order to monitor the state. I've made up a protractor on a card that she holds next to the erect penis so that the penis bend can be compared to the angle on the card. Not enough hands to press the camera button without help.

I'm keen to know the success rates from the alternative treatments - thanks everyone for being open and honest.

There isn't one treatment that is effective for all. And of course there are different levels of effectiveness.
Also finding a good doctor who knows how to EFFECTIVELY treat Peyronies is also important.

Thanks LWillisjr - nice to have a reply.

Having read lots of posts on this forum I am thinking that VED could be an option to stretch the plaque.
Traction to my mind seems like a two dimensional stretch whereas VED seems three dimensional - stretching in all directions not just long ways.
Manual milking seems to me like there is a risk that too much pressure can be applied, so VED (preferably with a gauge) is safer.
I would be interested in your thoughts.

Note to alll:

I get questions all the time about purchasing a VED with a gauge on it. IMHO, ones own penis is the best gauge that one can possibly rely on to keep from over pumping.

As vacuum is applied and held, any pain or discomfort that is felt should be the time to release the vacuum, let the penis retract to a flaccid state before applying vacuum again.

Following the protocol for the model that one owns is the best therapy that a VED can give. Over pumping is noted through out the entire forum posts/threads. So, it is best to adhere to the "rules of the game" when used VED therapy.

Inquisitive_Bent,
It is really hard to say what is best. Because everyone's body reacts differently. Generally I would suggest a VED for things like hour glassing or dents in the shaft.

For a curve I would lean towards traction. The whole concept is that you want to stretch the the area (plaque) that is causing the curve. But A VED can also do this since it forces your erection straight while using the VED, and the result is that this is also attempting to stretch the plaque area.
