I have an appointment with a urologist next week. In the meantime is it best to abstain from any physical activity?

Depends if it's painful, if it is then I would avoid it. If you must, be gentle and finish quickly to relieve yourself. Sex will encourage blood flow to the area so it's not all bad. I think the main thing that worsened my condition was smoking.

These are all my opinions but sex shouldn't aggravate things if you're not rough
