Hey guys,

First of all I'm 15 and I strongly believe I do have Peyronie's Disease. The first abnormal experience I had was in late October when I looked down and realised something just wasn't right, there was a much greater curve than I'm used to (my penis naturally has like a 5 degree upward curve at most). So, since then it hasn't really improved or worsened. I really am unsure why this has happened as I can only bring it down to to minor reasons - one being masturbation although I do that quite infrequently and two, (might sound a bit weird) but the spontaneous erections stabbing into your shorts which you just can't reach down and move in public situations, it literally is bending and uncomfortable. Although these reasons seem rather mild.

Anyway, the plaque is visible on the upperside and isnt' very big, there's just a band probably around 3mm thick. My curve is around 70 degrees max.

I'm just wondering what can be done as I'm still growing rapidly but I haven't yet been to urologist, because to be completely honest it's just embarrassing

Cheers

15 is very young but it's possible that you have penile damage or scarring (Peyronie's). Of course, it's also possible that the lump is simply a lymphatic cord or vein as you see in cases of thrombosis or lymphocele.

You need to see a Peyronie's specialist, which you can locate through this forum/website. Be careful with masturbation, try to schedule an appointment. Also read up on the oral therapies for this disease which are CoQ10, ALCAR, and pentox. I would NOT see a regular urologist unless you NEED to in order to see a peyronie's expert.

Thanks so much Neo. Do you personally think it could heal over time or would it be a good idea to see a specialist? Can you give me any examples of the treatments at this age (eg. Oral treatments the best bet right now?)

Cheers

I encourage you to see a specialist as soon as possible. Years fly by and you really will wish you had even just for peace of mind.

The oral supplements with studies behind them at CoQ10 at 400mg a day spread out through the day and Acetyl-L-Carnitine at 2g a day. The drug that has been shown to be successful at treating Peyronie's is Pentoxifylline. Daily low dose Cialis also has been shown to prevent fibrosis but I think you're too young to take that.

Peyronie's is a devastating disease, and while there is hope for some kind of improvement, most of us have a long active phase of worsening and never get truly better. We tend to get "functional" as we treat the disease with our very limited options. This isn't to sound bleak, since in my case the untrained eye would never suspect I had anything wrong. Stay positive and do what you can.

So one question that's tugging on my mind is if I just leave it, can the amount of time affect later treatment? I couldn't really find much about this apart from the various articles on each phase although say if I leave it alone for 3 years, will treatment still be as effective as if I received treatment now? I'm also keeping an eye on HybridMedical H-100, almost a miracle cream in my view, though the process has seemed to have stalled. Have you heard of it?

BATchap,

Peyronie's disease is not likely to improve without treatment.

If you care about statistics, it is said normally that the acute or 'active' phase takes 6 to 18 months (inflammatory pain and lumps development) and then it stabilizes to a fibrotic plaque (with residual dents, curvature, etc). Up to 14% of patients may recover spontaneously. Roughly half of the rest would see the disease don't get worse and the other half will see how the acute phase never really stops and the plaques keep growing and turning into fibrotic tissue.

So do not leave it, the onset of the disease is the best moment for oral treatment to make its effect. Because while there's inflammation, there's an increment of vascularity around the affected tissue. After that tissue turns into fibrotic, the blood supply decreases notably, thus decreasing the effectiveness of the oral treatment.

I understand the apprehension and concerns that may arise at your age, but count on your relatives, go visit a specialist and trust veterans in this forum.
First onset: January 2014, at the age of 31. Lasted 16 months. | Treatment: Q10 (ubiquinol) + Acetyl-L-Carnitine | Result: 15ยบ curvature to right and narrowing at the base.
Second onset: July 2025. In progress.

Caesar,

Thanks alot for that reply, I'm definitely leaning more towards actually making an effort to go and see a specialist.

Caesar is correct. If you truly have Peyronies then it is best start treatment as soon as you can. You have a better chance of doing something about it. Don't wait.

Also, you said you noticed a sudden change in curvature one day. Do you have any idea what might have caused this? Do you recall any trauma or injury?

I have no clue what caused the onset. There was really no significant trauma to my penis prior to that, or really ever in fact.
