I found this forum just a few weeks back and recently registered. To be honest I feel fortunate in comparison to some of the stories I've read here so far. I'll put my story in the "Our Histories" section.

LEFTOUT

I'm 58 years old. And have been in a very long standing relationship w a woman. And I've had "banana dick" (you know what I mean) as long as I can remember. I didn't even know there was a name for this till maybe 2 years ago. Even flaccid I hang to the left, not straight ahead.

I cant say if I was born that way. But I do remember hitting a telephone pole head on, on my first 2 wheeler as a young boy. I remember my mother picking me up and laying me on the lawn. The more that I've thought about it, the more I think this may have been when the "problem" started.

When I was a young man it didn't really bother me, but I do remember one lover I had saying "oh my". Although I'm curved maybe 30 degrees to the left, I've never had any pain, dents, divots, hourglass, cords, bumps, or bents just the curve. Luckily I haven't lost length or girth.  I can "move" it over to successfully make love to a woman. But I do notice at times we end up in more of a V position rather than me being directly on top of her. And the are certain positions that just don't work for us.  But my women have never complained. I will say orgasm is not as intense as it used to be. But at 58???  I don't know what it should be. Luckily I've had no ED issues.

About 2 years ago I started hunting around on the internet for information on my condition. So much of it is obvious BS. I did find an article on using heat. And Have used a heating pad on the inside of the curve. This does seem to help a little, but I've never known if you should be flaccid or erect when using the heat. Seems to me erect would be better because your bringing in more blood to expand the effected area. Maybe there's an answer to that in this forum?  I also must say that its very hard at times to use the heat due to work and family.

Maybe I should count my blessings but I know that I am not normal. I should also mention that I've had dyputens (pardon my spelling)contracture in my right hand. I had surgery on this a year and a half ago. Although not perfect its much better. My grandfather had this also. Could this be related to my other issue?

I'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge and getting things straightened out so to speak.

To be honest, this sounds like a congenital curve to me, not Peyronies Disease.

Did the curve come on suddenly? No.
Is there pain? No.
Can you feel a lump (when flaccid) or see a dent or "bottleneck"? No.
Do you have any ED? No.
Is the curve getting worse? No.

These "no's" would indicate it's congenital curve (naturally occurring), not Peyronie's.

The only thing to be concerned with is you have Dupuytren's, which IS often associated with Peyronie's (meaning the two sometimes go together).  So you're correct to question "Is this Peyronie's?"

But based on the description you give, I'd say it sounds like it's NOT Peyronie's .

Hope this helps,
Nemo
53 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002; recurred again in 2013. Over the years I tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps, Cialis + Pentoxifylline. For past few years only Cialis. Still functional.

I firmly believe that a congenital curve can cause Peyronie's, or at least make someone more likely to develop it.

If the ligaments in your penis are holding your penis up banana style, they are too tight and this alone puts a lot of pressure on the penis. I have nearly rid myself of my "banana" and resulting Peyronie's by slowly stretching out the ligaments down there. I can't say this works for certain nor can I preach this in any way whatsoever. But I am just stating what happened in my case. It would seem that in my case, there was something structurally wrong, making all sexually activities damaging somehow to my penis.

If a curve is not bothering you, like Nemo says, you might have no problem at all! But if it does bother you, then you might want to try to change it. I would recommend stretching (traction), but if you try anything, always be VERY SAFE.

Not to be disagreeable, NeoV, but the notion of purposefully trying to "correct" congenital curvature (at home, as opposed to through surgery) sounds like poking the bear, asking for Peyronie's damage.  There are too many reports of guys trying internet-propogated penis enlargement techniques like "jelqing" and all other manner of bizarre stuff then injuring themselves, some even causing Peyronies Disease.  I think Leftout needs to make up in his mind whether this is a good old natural curve and leave it be, or see a Urologist who can offer proper diagnosis one way or the other.

Once someone truly has Peyronies Disease, I'm all for techniques to correct - but in absence of Peyronies Disease, I am frightened by any notion of "reshaping" the natural penis. Just too risky in my humble opinion.

You're absolutely right Nemo,

There's not much I can say about this case I guess. But your advice sounds good to me.
I do not agree with any of that PE stuff either, I think it's extremely dangerous.
