Hey guys - Just discovered this horrible condition.  Started with pain about 6 weeks+ ago during an erection, then quickly saw a slightly bend to the right up top.  Went to a urologist and he examined and found the plaque on the top right side.  He gave me the standard "there is nothing we can do until the pain stops.".  Reading this site now and seeing that this is not the best option.  The doctor DID say that the timing was good because new injections were ABOUT to be approved.  So I guess that is good, but not extremely comforting.

He did also heavily stress that Pentox is a waste of time.  I didn't like hearing that.  He also told me that Vitamin E and all the stuff I will read is a waste of time.  I am going to a supposed Peyronie's specialist in LA next week so I am hoping he is more aggressive.

So from people who are Pro throwing everything at it early (I assume I am  in the early stage and would like to catch it now before it gets worse), what should I seriously be taking.  I've seen a lot of supplements and drugs like Pentox but if someone could shoot a quick list of what I absolutely should be taking (including pentox I assume) that would really be great.  Thanks

I'm 35 and I've had it for around 1.5 years. I finally decided to use Ved and it works miracles. But I'm a beginner so check out for other posts.

I got the same standard negative opinion from my previous urologist about Pentox being a "waste of time". But reading things like this on this forum convinced me to find a better doctor:

Les, the case study and other papers by the Lue team document the efficacy of Pentox in reversing Peyronie's calcifications.  Your "good doctor" is entitled to his OPINIONS.  But that is all they are, OPINIONS.  Skjald cited a case study.  That is not an opinion, that is a verified outcome by multiple doctors who signed off on it.  It is evidence, NOT an opinion.  - George

Knight, I have changed the red to blue, we are keeping red for warnings, James :)

I have only been on Pentox for a month so I can't say if it will make a difference for me yet or not, but I am in the camp that is willing to try any and everything to attack my condition. There are many supplements recommended on this forum but it seems the big 3 highly recommended by many here are Pentox, Cialis and VED therapy.

I appreciate the quick responses.  I just got back from a health store and got all the supplements mentioned on this site.  I have an appt this Thursday, which I will push for Pentox.  This guy is on a list of Peyronie's specialists so I assume this should not be a challenge to get Pentox.

What exactly is the VED therapy?  I keep seeing it on this site, but what do you actually do on a daily basis?

Also, are you supposed to not have sex at the stage I am in (pretty damn painful during sex)?  I'd rather not have sex if it's going to make this worse.

I think it's up to the individual as far as how sexually active you chose to be at this stage. I think opinions vary drastically as to "use it or lose it" and the "let it heal" philosophy's. I guess I try to listen to my body. The amount or kind of pain should tell us if we are doing more harm, but then again I don't remember feeling any pain in the first place with this whenever it originally happened. I have an idea of what and how this happened but because I never felt any pain I guess I will never really know for sure.

I guess at this point the "how this happened" doesn't matter as much as what needs to be done to help correct it anyway, but I digress.

There is a whole section on VED therapy under the "Home" tab. The resident pro is Old Man and he unselfishly tries to help each of us newbies who are looking for help. The guy is a knowledgable saint. He might be an angel for all I know.....he will find you, I believe he finds all of us.

Read up what you can find here. There's tons of information on where to purchase and how to use a VED for Peyronies Disease therapy. Just a word of caution - Go slow and easy. You cannot be too cautious with the VED in my opinion. From my experience I was thrilled by what I could see it was trying to do to my penis and I may have unintentionally over pumped and hurt myself worse. I was about a month into my therapy and I believe I have strained the non elastic tissues around my plaque and now I'm taking a few days to heal that before I try to continue. I think the VED apples more vacuum pressure that we can correctly judge when going by feel and the visual makes it look like more pressure might be better. Just be careful. Less is more and consistency over time appears to be the goal for success.

I can't seem to find any information on setting an appointment with Dr Lue or even where his office is in LA. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Yo yo

Dr lue is at usf here in SF. I got an appointment with him at the end of January a few weeks ago.

As for supplements check the board 'experience using combination etc' and look at the post by dfurman titled something like 'positive experience using ...'

Pretty much add propolis, magnesium chloride, blue/bilberry extract to the mix. Personally I would also strongly support daily visualuzations of the plaque dissipating and your penis being back to 100

Good luck man

Also wanted to encourage drinkin lots of green tea. Both the antioxidant power and just having a full bladder/penis seems to make my penis feel more healthy.

Thanks - I did just figure out he was in SF and gave him a call.  He needs a referral which is a pain but I think I can make it work.  January huh?  I guess this guy is pretty booked.  Let us know what he says!  I'll be hopefully in there by February.  Hopefully sooner, this is driving me crazy
