Hi everyone. Just looking for some advice. My husband had the Nesbit procedure on Monday afternoon. He is still very tender etc, but his penis still appears to be weeping and bleeding. Is this normal? When we called hospital on Tuesday morning to check this, they were very non committal and said as he wasnt in pain to just keep our eye on it. Any advice to ease his discomfort would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks.

I know from experience that some seepage is normal. I assume you mean where the incision was made on the skin covering the penis. I've also heard that post op follow up in the UK can be less than stellar. No negatives implied about the UK but this is based some other UK members who have posted on the forum. I do know that healing takes time and you don't want to rush it. Your husband should avoid erections as best he can for awhile as the sutures can actually be torn until things heal up well.

Thank you for your comments. We will keep monitoring it. The length of healing wasn't really explained clearly.
