Hello from Spain, First of all sorry form my english

I'm very glad to have found this forum. I'm 39 and for me it all started 3 months ago when I noticed a little lump in the middle of the penis when peeing. After that, I noticed a change of shape on erection, something like hour-glass shape described on some post of this forum, and a slight (almost imperceptible) bent upwards, and up to now I haven't feel any pain. However from the begining I realised that it was something to be worried about, and I am very worried. In my first visit to the urologist, 2 months ago, he didn't give any importance to the lump and just told me to visit him again in a couple of months, that I just did. Now he told me that it can be a case of peyronie, and he  told me to do an ultrasound (that I'll have in a couple of weeks) and take some pictures of my erected penis to see the level of deformation, but he doesn't seem to have treated anyone with this desease, as he told me that appart from surgery (only for severe cases) there is no possible treatment.

I'm very worried about the possible evolution of the disease, as it seems to be in a starting phase in my case.

For the moment I'm only taking Propolis in a daily basis, but I'm considering now to go to another urologist, and propose some of the treatment possibilities that I have read in this forum.

Any sugestion will be very welcome as you may know how one feels in this stage of the disease

Thanks a lot

Norm

Esfu,
If you have not yet read this info, MUST READ BEFORE YOU POST - Information for new members - Peyronies Society Forums , please do so. There is a wealth of information on how to proceed. Not every process works for every man's penis, but surely you can get some relief. If you have questions or want advice, by all means, ask. Good luck to you.

Your English is just fine, many of us are not native English speakers. :)
I hope someone from Spain will jump in with some advice regarding Peyronies specialists there because you need a specialist and not a regular urologist.
Do as soon as you can, it is not good to wait with this disease without treatment.

Welcome to the forum

Hello,

Today I had an ultrasound scan. I will get the report in one week, but today the doctor doing the ultrasound has told me that although it seems to be pyeronie's disease process in an starting phase, there are calcifications.

I am worried  about that because, it all started only three months ago, and I'm surprised how there is already calcifications. I read that when calcification occurs it's more difficult to get improving results. By other hand I'm also confused because I've read in some threads in this forum that in some cases calcifications are a sign of stabilization of the desease.

The next step is to get the ultrasound report and go to a new urologist (as the first one seemed not to have enough knowledge on peyronies) I have the appoinment next week, I will try to get a prescription of Pentox. Meanwhile, could anyone please give me some light on calcifications?

Thanks again

I am English. I live near Alicante. Hopefully, for you, your Urologist will prescribe Pentox. Mine would not. I too have calcification and he told me that Pentox could not help me - only surgery. Expert medical opinion disagrees with him, and therefore I buy it. Here, in Spain, it is legal to buy Pentox. I will not agree to surgery at this time. Too many risks involved.

Thank you Jonbinspain for your message,

Let's see what my new urologist says... About the surgery, yes I totally discard it for the moment.
It's just that I'm confused about calcifications because I don't Know if I have to be especially worried about it, in terms of evolution of the disease.
