Hello,

I have just joined and have not studied everything posted, so won't ask any questions until I have tried to digest what others have already posted.

I was diagnosed with Peyronies Disease about five or six years ago.  Went to a urologist, who prescribed topical Virapamil and oral Acetyl-L-Carnitine.  Did both of those for about two years, and the bend improved, but changed.  Was sideways, and gradually changed to be downward.  After the two-year treatment process, there hadn't been any change for several months, and I felt that it wasn't doing any more good.

I didn't do any treatment of any kind for about three years, feeling there wasn't any good options available.  The situation is really not good enough, though, and so I am doing some fresh research, hoping there have been some new breakthroughs over the past three years.

I really appreciate this site, and look forward to studying what all of the members and admins have contributed over the past few years.

Hawk

Welcome Harley,

Start with these 2 posts: They will at least give you a basis for starting.

Members here have pretty much concluded that topical Verapamil does nothing and is a waste of time and money.  Often time a curve change (even for the better) as Peyronies Disease progresses.  Plaque on one side may cause a curve to the left and as plaque develops on the right side it can force that curve straight but there will be a loss of length somewhat like with a Nesbit Plication surgery.

Thanks for the suggestions, Hawk.  I'll be doing a lot of reading over the next few days.

Is not good not to do nothing for three years, it was my mistake also.
You need to be proactive with this disease.
I am proposing you to read the forum to understand what kind of treatment other members are doing/have done and the results to be able to decide how to go forward.

Welcome to the forum :)
