found this site as I need to write an appeal to my insurance company to cover the treatment.
I am 55 years old
Have had a curvature for 7 years now and over the past 2 years the curve has become worse.  Recent exam said I'm more than 90 degrees bent towards me.  Sex / masturbation is impossible.

Recently I have started having Verapamil injections and it has been helping.  
They mental impact of this has been horrible.

I a surprised you just found us.  I hope you can find the information and support you are looking for.  Greater that a 90 degree bend is problematic as you know.  It is even more so since it is not new scar tissue and likely has some calcification which is more of a challenge. You would likely have to reduce that by 50 degrees to have intercourse in any position.  It may soon be time to look for a great surgeon.

That is definitely a legit medical problem. I think I would enlist my doctor to go to bat for me. The doc will have much more credibility with the insurance company than you will. Your doctor, or his office person who handles insurance, is your best bet to get that covered. Stay after them to help you get the treatment covered. Good luck.
