Age 44, diagnosed by Urologist in Feb 2025.  Symptoms began late 2024 with a swollen vein and some mild pain at the base which has been gradually curving to the left more as time passes.  History of intermitent hard flaccid probably caused by stress and pelvic floor dysfunction.

Saw a new urologist 4/2025 and during exam my hard flaccid was present.  He checked for plaques by pulling my penis and bending the tip in a fast motion then squeezed the base.  because of my rigid flaccid state it was very painful and startling.  Since that moment I have been in high level pain 24/7. but in the last 2 days (2 weeks later) it has become a more manageable pain that seems to be healing.  Still painful to be erect, more pain post erection, some loss of erection quality and doesnt stand as tall.  The bend seems to be worsening as well.

Saw a new Urologist today who reassured me it should heal in 6 months to a year and to not worry about it.  Maybe take pentoxyfiline and vitamin E, take Aleve, no sexual activity for "a little while".  Asked about Pentox, cialis and he said "they probably dont do much but you can take them if you like".  Asked about Traction and Pumping devices and said "they look like medieval torture devices, i don't know anybody who uses those.  I doubt they do anything and might hurt you"

Current plan is to not do anything until the pain is gone sexually, try the pentox and vit E, try and find a specialist for better advice, try and remain calm and hope my sex drive reduces some to make my abstainance peroid more tolerable.

I am married, no porn and rarely masterbate, no injury that I'm aware of for causing inital symptoms, pre-injury I was sexually active 2-3x a week.  Reinjury by Uro was extremely painful mentally and physically, just taking it a day at a time and trying to find a path towards healing.  Looking forward to the advice and sharing of eachothers journeys here.

So did they diagnose you based on finding physical plaques? What about an ultrasound? Are they raised on the skin like vein/band or do they present as indentations?

Regarding the examination, I had a very similar experience last month. The urologist really pulled my penis hard and stretched it much more than I ever would whilst flaccid. Have had mild stigning pain since, though I think it might be subsidising. Difficult to tell.

I was diagnosed by my description of an indent while erect near the base and very mild discomfort in that spot after sex and a buldging vein in that spot.  I have also developed a gradually worsening tilt to the left towards the side with the indent.

No ultrasound, no palpable plaques.  Doctor said he thinks it is early peyronies.

Its been almost 2 weeks since the pulling injury incident now and the constant pain has finally gone down to a level I can ignore throughout the day.  The bend has become worse since the incident and well and worse erections and pain after erecctions.  I have been avoiding sexual activity until yesterday when I was very slow and careful with my wife, things work but feel weird and it hurt afterwards.  Going to continue taking more time to heal.

Not suggesting that your urologist are wrong but would you not want to get an ultrasound for some clarity? seems strange that that you cant see or feel any plaques what so ever.

Cialis might be worth adding to the mix aswell. Good for bloodflow / healing and will make your erections that extra bit firmer...which is a safety net in a way that minimises any injuries during sex.
