I was being very stupid and reckless with a pumping session and injured my penis 3 weeks ago.

I now have a band of hard, cable-like tissue on the top left running from the base of the pelvis to my penis head. This was the source of pain for these last few weeks but the pain has stopped significantly.

Penis used to have a downward curvature, now it's more/less straight but with a bend to the left at the base of the pelvis. I've also lost about a half inch in length which is heartbreaking.

Urologist checked me out this morning and said it's Peyronies but I'm going back next week to get an assessment of the damage whilst erect.

I'm so depressed. I had a very active sex life before this and now I feel like I'll never be able to go back to that.

Welcome Seamusharper to the forum. Please take the time and fill out your signature line -->Signature Line . Then please download and study our survival guide -->Survival Guide. This will give you a better understanding about peyronies and it's different treatments.

Pumping can do damage to your penis but usually you can recover. The real question is did you have the beginning stages of peyronies or is this just an injury?

Don't be down on yourself trying to figure it out and blame yourself. Study up on peyronies and possibly look into traction and VED therapy as prescribed here on the forum. Tadalafil also has healing properties for your penis and does work. Are you in pain currently? Do you have regular nigh time and morning erections? Getting fresh oxygenated blood into your penis is healing.

I would be very careful with any sexual activity for the time being until you can see what is causing any pain for you. I used heat therapy a lot when I was in a lot of pain and it does work. You need to get yourself an educated peyronies Dr if that is possible. You can talk with your current Dr and share some of the things discussed here on the forum. See if he/she is comfortable with working with you. Getting an erect ultrasound can be very revealing as to what is actually going on.

One thing you need to get a hold of is your anxiety level and worrying about things. You will make it through this. Educate yourself and get a plan of action. Remember though that this is a marathon and not a sprint. A lot of guys want this done and over with in 2 weeks and that is not how this is treated.    :)

Hi Mikel,

Thank you for the reply.

This is definitely an injury from my last pumping session which was done very recklessly and with a rubber ring around the base of my penis near the pelvis. I had no issues prior.

I'm no longer in pain thankfully but I haven't had regular night time/morning erections in years, well before this issue (I've had my testosterone levels checked and it's solid).

To be clear, it was a PA at the urologist office who suggested Peyronies so it's not an official diagnosis but the ultrasound hopefully will provide more clarity.

I'm trying to get my anxiety under control. I just don't want to get my hopes up as most of what I've read across the internet is all very negative.
