Hello all. I'm 63 have a really good sexlife but started noticing a bit of pain at the end of my penis during erections. Not much pain. Just a bit. And then my flaccid penis felt like it had shrunk. Thinner and shorter. I am circumcised but my foreskin is now too long and keeps on covering the head of the penis and Im constantly needing to adjust my penis as it is uncomfortable - slide the foreskin back. I also suddenly noticed a curve  - the tip of the penis curves about 40 degrees and the pain has increased. Erections weren't lasting as long either. I went to the urologist and have been given ED medication to supply more blood and hopefully help the peyronies heal itself. Or at least stop it developing further. 4 questions 1. Can a cock ring help?  2. Can ED medication help Peronies. 3. Surely ED medication taken as a chronic medication, will have long term effects? 4. Do pelvic floor muscle exercises help in any way?
63, Married, Kids, first noticed Feb24 (year ago). Uncomfortable penis with too much foreskin (shrunk penis) slight pain beneath head of penis, small hard lumps in penis, 40degree bend below penis head. Smaller flaccid penis. Smaller erect penis.

Welcome to the forum Yrag and thank you for filling out your signature line. Please download our survival guide -->Survival Guide.

Peyronies affects each man differently and usually men start on traction and VED therapy accompanied with cialis or similar medictions. Most urologists are uneducated and untrained to treat men with peyronies. You need to read our survival guide and educate yourself as to what it is all about. Inflammation is the main cause accompanied with a healing disorder that is in your penis. Scar tissue is the result which causes the bending and deformities. You need to try and slow down this process and reverse it. That is what the ED medication is doing . Traction and VED can help restore your lost length and bending issue.

To answer your questions:

1: I would not use a cock ring as if it is used incorrectly or too long a period it could cause more damage.

2: Yes definitely ED medications do help with bringing in more fresh oxygenated blood and stretching things out. They also help reduce inflammation and promote healing of the tissues.

3:ED meds have been taken for a long time and I am not aware of any long term affects associated with them.

4: Pelvic floor exercises will benefit you if you have been dignosed with a weak pelvic floor. I fell on a steel beam and broke my tailbone thus giving me pelvic floor disorder. I have had to do special exercises occasionally to help.

You must get the mindset that this is a marathon and not a sprint. If you can find a peyronies Dr or one that will work with you it will help yo in the long run.  :)

Thanks you for the response and answers to my questions. Appreciated, and most helpful in putting my mind at ease. Does one start with traction and then VED or both simultaneously?
